I love being at the library after 6pm. Everything is dark outside. It is raining. I am studying. But I studied all day, so I could go any minute. I’d rather enjoy the calmness and timelessness for a bit more though.

journal highlight 🌔 goodbye, leo szn (pt. 1)
“i’m a very impatient person, i’ve come to realize. mostly with myself, though, and my dreams. there’s just so much i want to do, and i feel like every second i spend ‘relaxing’ or just living my life, really, i’m mossing out on opportunities.”

I’ve never had a proper work space in my room at home because I haven’t studied at home since high school! This desk is absolutely massive and will definitely meet my “everything sprawled in front of me” study style 😅
How do you guys like to study? I’ve always wished I could be the organized doing everything in advance type but I’m definitely the last minute messy desk type!

my new flat is literally in front of my school so every time i look out of the window i'm reminded of how soon (less than two weeks!) it starts again.

Starting to read my first assignment for my honors composition class! I'm really grateful that I get to live on campus, even if most of my classes are mostly online. Also, meet my plants! Best part of my week is getting to water them.

whenever you read a paragraph with new content, close the book/look away and ask yourself: “what have i just learned?” explaining the concept to yourself right away and asking follow-up questions will change the way you retain new material forever. trust me.

28.07.20 - day 29/100
tuesday the 28th
more notes ft. a snippet of my workspace
today was productive, i find that after a day of feeling lazy and lethargic i’m more motivated to just get up and work/ do chores because of guilt or restlessness or something
this is the final virtual course i have to finish- but honestly i don’t think the topic is my thing, for me, it’s too abstract and general- i think i will just do the topics that are of upmost relevance to me
but once i finish this, all i have is some a level prep work to do (and french, but that is just ongoing) before i can dedicate more time to hobbies like painting and sewing
and breathe

advice: don’t be afraid to ask for help. I find it hard to ask for help when I think I don’t need it but I actually do. It is okay to ask.

Truth is, the best revenge is seeking none at all and investing that energy in your own health and progress, prioritising personal goals you've been neglecting, and working toward creating a passionate, prosperous and fulfilling future of your own.
