Angels on Wheels
Season one, episode 12
To investigate a suspicious death, Jill goes undercover as the greedy sister of the dead roller games star - on the way to become a star herself. She's as good at roller skating as she's on a skateboard.
Investigating gets Kelly to pose as a magazine author and be accused of sexism for asking a buff suspect to become "Stud of the month".
Sabrina investigatives the financial side of things and meets fascinating people while Bosley juggles the phones to keep all their covers straight.
Famous Last Words

Gayest Moment
Jill looking at Bree when they get to hear the case.
Greatest Mystery
How did Charlie know?
Rating

okay so i've started loosely formulating a fic about this but
have we considered transmasc Alex of Tirragen
have we considered that Roger was able to tell from the beginning (because Alex doesn't have the Gift and couldn't hide from him like Alanna was able to) and manipulated things so that Alex would end up as his squire with a year left before his Ordeal, and promised to keep Alex's secret in exchange for his loyalty
Tamora kind of gives us nothing about the atmosphere at court in between Alanna leaving court immediately post-reveal and returning months later with the Dominion Jewel. what happened to Alex during that time?
what if Alex is supposed to fight Alanna, during that crossroads in time... and doesn't. because he can't, because something has been breaking inside him ever since Roger's first death. because it's not like he was ever living a lie the way Alanna was - he's *not* a girl - but somewhere in that time, the fact of someone knowing about him and using that against him as a weapon changed from feeling safe to feeling oppressive.
Alex thinks Roald of Conté was a bad king. just kind of fundamentally. he's wary of Jon, especially Jon's reliance on Alanna - he misreads Alanna as manipulative. he doesn't understand why she turned Jon's proposal down. but when she returns with the Jewel, he starts to understand her. because for all their differences - she, a woman, hiding her gender to train as a knight, while he used the training as a way to be his true gender - they want the same things. they both want the realm to be in safe hands. they've just found themselves disagreeing on whose those hands are.
but on that day, Alex looks at Alanna and thinks that maybe he should trust her judgement over his own.
(there's also maybe an AU where Alex leaves Tortall for a bit at some point and ends up running into Numair on the road, but that's just an indulgent side-headcanon)

Angels in the backfield
Season 2, Episode 19
Gayest episode ever
The Angels are hired to find out why the Ducks, a women's football team, are being harassed and the team lead is getting threatening letters. Naturally, all three go undercover as football players and Sabrina has to revisit unwelcome memories of quarterbacking at the Police Academy.
The only suspect is the motorcycling owner of the competing team, the Panthers: Julie Smyth, who flirts and tries to poach Sabrina for the Panthers. "Because you look like a winner," says Smyth. Bree is not impressed, or is she?
Kelly gets chatted up by an ex football pro, who annoys her with his self-pity, and Kris acquires a lot of bruises.
Famous last words
"I said you looked like a winner."
Gayest moment
Really hard to decide there are so many to choose from. Do I take Kelly protecting Kris from a bully in the showers? Or Julie Smyth with telling Sabrina "I like your moves"?
Greatest Mystery
What are those numbers Sabrina calls out in the scrum? How does football work?
(I never understood the finer points of soccer and football is a closed book.)
Rating
Five out of five motorcycles.

(REVIEW) The Black Thread of Fate: Death, Past and Present, in NOIR
Studio Bee Train's girls-with-guns original spins a dark, haunting narrative, punctuated by gunfire and yearning.
This review contains spoilers for the reviewed material. This is your only warning. Note: this is a review of the English dub. In the shadows, nameless assassins load their pistols. The bullets in the chamber end the lives of the rich, the powerful, the damned. It happens everywhere; abandoned construction sites in Japan, the coasts of South America, the heart of Paris, just outside the Arc de…
