Active, Legitimate Fundraisers: Please Share and Donate, part 2
Due to the amount of requests in my inbox, I have decided to make a series of masterlists for active and vetted campaigns which desperately require aid. I implore my followers and those who see this post to please donate even $5 or $10 to at least one of these campaigns. We owe it to the people of Gaza who have trusted us enough to ask for our help.
(part 1)
🇵🇸 Israa (@isra-elazaiza ) - verification (#236 on the Vetted Gaza Fundraiser List) - donate here -$7,310 CAD raised of $48,000
🇵🇸 Muhammed (@mhammedmosa ) - verification (previous tumblr account vetted by association) - donate here - $2,981 raised of $20,000
🇵🇸 Omar (@omar-omars-posts ) - verification (Omar is Abdulsalam's brother and their fundraiser is #4 on the @/gazavetters spreadsheet) - donate here - €2,395 raised of €50,000

Here's a website where Palestine GoFundMes are vetted and shared that you can send out to people. The url is gazafunds.com
Easy to use and simple. Just share the site whenever someone asks for GFMs for Palestine.

You can donate to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund for as little as $1.00.
There is a fee you can choose to apply to cover processing.
Which if you choose to do leaves you with a total of ~$1.35 (USD) depending on the type of card you have.
PCRF has a score of 97% on Charity Navigator.
Adults and children alike are currently dying in Palestine due to starvation. (World Health Organization Link)
The Gaza Strip is one of two places in the entire world that is categorized as Phase 5 (the highest phase) on the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification scale.
So even if you think it isn't enough, remember that donating even as little as $1.35 helps! It's $1.35 they wouldn't have had otherwise. So donate if you can. 🇵🇸

the problem is not “how dare watcher want to make more money” because yes obviously it takes a lot of money to make quality content and creatives deserve to get paid
the problem is the way they are going about it now. removing previously free content that your fans have been loyally supporting for years and moving all new and old videos to your own exclusive website that you have to pay a separate subscription for now, it’s not going to work

We all understand wanting to leave YouTube. The issue here is, instead of just getting their own website and shifting the content, they are going full throttle on making their fans pay for every single aspect- including content they’d already been given for free, over multiple years.
Plenty of content creators have had their own content sites over the years, with free content and then content specifically for their paid tiers. Not unlike Patreon but everything in the same place. So that fans could enjoy their content, especially videos they’re already viewed and enjoyed for free, but they are getting their freedom and their subscriptions.
It’s a strictly business decision and that’s fine. I just hope they’re prepared for how many regular viewers they’re going to lose because people can’t afford this, or straight up just aren’t willing to pay for something they used to get to free.

how are we feeling about the announcement? personally i am very upset at this and the fact that they are removing old content from their channel. we are living in a time where people can barely afford basic necessities and are struggling to keep themselves on their feet. a move like this is not only disappointing but might be their downfall. don’t get me wrong i love watcher and have been following ryan and shane since the beginning of buzzfeed unsolved, but how can i continue to support them if they don’t make their content accessible and i can’t afford to pay to watch it? it’s just very upsetting and frustrating, and i hope that down the line they recognize that they messed up and go back to youtube.

Hey I did some @wearewatcher skeptic fanart and it appeared on the show! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNita0Thzjw
This was really fun to work on and, as a skeptic myself, I wanted to do up a piece for our side of the show with a bunch of reasons for noises, shapes and glowing eyes. The raccoon is 100% a reference to S2 ep1.
Also check out my Patreon for the sketch & thumbnail of this piece for free

never getting over ryan hearing his name multiple times over the spiritbox, immediately calling shane to tell him what just happened, and shane responding "good job, go make some friends!" like a parent whose child ran up to give them a crudely drawn crayon portrait at a daycare
