“A maid’s outfit?” she drawled, nose high, “Do you mistake me for a servant? Why would I dress like a maid when I already have maids to do my bidding?”

But then she thought about Sir Frederick, and the fact that her stewards were beyond lazy.

Perhaps if she were to dress like a lowborn commoner, she would be able to get into the workings of their minds and find ways to improve their work ethic.

“But then again... Perhaps I might use this idea to educate myself on how the lowborn act and behave...” 

Her mind made up, she procured a maid’s outfit, hurriedly changed, and... to her horror, realized she had been had.

“By the gods, is this a poorly thought out joke?!” she said, her face burning red as she tried to yank the skirt down, “Not even I would force my employees to dress in this!!”

 i am a shy roleplayer. messaging people first doesn’t come easy to me. i go to send someone a message and then my mind goes a million miles an hour; what if they don’t like my writing, what if they don’t even know who my muse is, what if they don’t like the fandom, what if they’re roleplaying with someone who roleplays the same muse, *rereads the rules 10000s times but still gets paranoid im brekaing a rule*, what if they aren’t following me, are the mutuals only, what if they don’t like the plot i have in mind. and basically it fills me with so much nervousness and fear i just back away and continue to watch from afar.  this doesn’t mean i never message first, when i’m confident the person likes my writing style/blog i find approaching them a little bit easier.  this isn’t anything personal or me trying to be superior in any way. i am shy, have low confidence, and am very unsure of myself and my writing.  if i follow you and never message you, i’m sorry, i truly am. but i adore each and every one of you and love to see you all. if i had it my way i would speak and roleplay to all of you.  i hope you all can understand and forgive my unhealthy way of thinking (✿◠‿◠)

“Why, you ill mannered, lowborn gutter rat! I will not be spoken to so crassly--!” she stopped, then frowned, considering his words as she pursed her lips.

Insulting him now would make him hold out the letter he said he had... She could always resort to calling him every name in the book later, of course, but for now, the noblewoman would have to quell her tongue to get Gaius to cooperate.

Was he really acting out of the goodness of his heart?

Dare she believe him? Perhaps...

Sucking in a breath, she calmed herself before she spoke again.

“I am not saying that I believe your tall tale, Gaius, however, I would very much like to know where this letter is. And this is not a request, it is the least you can do for me after everything you put my family through!” she said.

She then got in his face, “But mark my words, Gaius. Should you be lying to me, I will be doing everything in my power to have Lord Chrom remove you from this camp.”
