I thought I’d share this kickstarter very quick

i just read a washington post article on romcoms aging poorly due to the pushiness (and oft-stalkery conduct) of the male characters therein, and it got me thinking about pride and prejudice, and specifically darcy saying, “one word from you will silence me on this subject forever.”

because, like, that’s the seldom-portrayed romantic dream in the patriarchal hellscape that is our world, isn’t it?

a dude being willing to say, “i understand if you don’t feel the same way about me, and i’ll leave you alone forever about this if my attention is unwanted.”

so simple, yet so wonderful in its basic human decency

not to sound like jane austen or anything but if ur fic is labelled slow burn those two fucks better not even touch pinkies until like chapter 57 by the time they are even in a room alone together i want to be half dead of blueballs and i want their heated gazes to revive me im js

Holy smokes am I glad that was done. It's not often that I say a book is boring, but jfc that book was boring. Maybe I'm off the mark, but I *wanted* Elizabeth to be turned. Then she and Darcy could roam the Earth for ever, their love truly timeless! But noooooo. Had to be boring old humans. There's that word again. BORING. 2/5 Would not recommend.

How HOW can you have a P&P sequel that has so little Darcy in it. I'm 2/3rds through and I feel like I've seen him approx 3 times??? Also, for putting it out there in the ding dang TITLE, I expect an earlier reveal on the whole vampire thing. Elizabeth STILL DOESN'T KNOW. I want vampire action ffs. This is supposed to be A VAMPIRE. BOOK. I feel cheated.
