scoff  devolved  into  a  chuckle ,  the  heir  effectively  breaking  the  substantial  silence  that  followed  the  non  —  aggressive  revelation  of  rachel  amber ,  girl  of  his  and  everyone  else's  dreams.  what  typically  would  be  met  with  a  roll  of  eyes ,  instead  earns  a  twitch  of  the  lips  and  warms  the  prescott  boy's  build.  ❝  you're  drunk ... ❞    in  ongoing  moment ,  he  found  he  was  no  different  than  his  classmates  who  clung  to  rachel's  every  word ,  who  looked  to  her  in  admiration.

with  that  said ,  tall ,  gangly  male  reached  out ,  snatching  bottle  of  alcohol  and  bringing  it  to  his  lips.  he  can't  tell whether  bruised ,  guarded  heart  of  his  picked  up  or  stopped  completely  when  his  fingers  brushed  against  @rachelambre's.  behind  the  inseparable  pair ,  vortex  get — together  boomed ,  erratic  lights  spotted  through  the  gymnasium  windows.  eye  moved  from  there  to  the  girl  beside  him.

❝  next  you're  going  to  tell  me  some  bull  shit  like ...  like  i'm  better  company  than  that  dumpster  diver.  ❞  he  wants  her  to  laugh ,  but  more  than  that ,  he  wants  her  to  agree.  so  much  that  he  looked  at  her  expectantly  now.  he  truly  was  no  different  than  anyone  else ,  wanting  to  be  rachel  amber's  favorite ...  and  when  he  realized  that ,  he  looked  elsewhere ,  almost  scowling.
