Pregnant Cornbread?

"Four stars!" says no one. I should really have a theme for my tumblr. Right now it is "shit I like from the internets." I'm sorry. Do you need sex advice? Here's a tip. Sometimes a lady likes to leave her blazer on.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Second Playthrough thoughts #2 - Cora romance
Yeah, yeah, second playthrough, “I’m gonna do everything differently and see where it goes.” Ha! The lies I tell myself!
Tumblr media
Spoilers below the line:
Where my Sara was logical/professional, my Scott was emotional/professional (deviating into casual with Peebee and Gil, because they have better lines). The only different things I have done in my playthrough is kept Sarissa, and I felt terrible for it. I went through the Hunting the Archon mission totally expecting to save the Salarian pathfinder, but oops no, couldn’t do it. I would much rather fight kettified Salarians than kettified Krogans. And also, #kroganlivesmatter.
I helped Advent out this time, mainly because I’d love to see the proletariat uprising in my Sara playthrough and see the differences in the Scott playthrough. I also didn’t blow up the Primus’ ship, seeing if I can save it for when he tries to exalt the cluster.
Knight didn’t die in this playthrough, a much better ending!
I was going to go with Sloane Kelly to see the differences, but after I went back to talk to her, she began to talk about how much I would have to pay to keep my people safe, and so I said ‘fuck that noise, son,’ and reloaded and went with good old sneaky Reyes again.
For the diplomat, I chose Bradley, I would have loved to choose Morda, but she’s a see you next Tuesday. And then I went to speak to the Mohae, and the shade given was immense, which kind of solidified the fact that choosing the Moshae in my Sara playthrough was the better choice. I truly felt like a colonial twat.
There were some quests that I didn’t pick up on my first playthrough, like the wind farm mission on Kadara, and The Watchers on Eos, which I didn’t know that you had to complete before taking down the Invictor (which was one of the first things I did on my second PT, because that guy is a jerk), and I can’t complete it because he’s dead. I also missed ‘Mixed Messages’ because I didn’t know that you had to get into see Jim while Sloane Kelly was in power. I’ve ended the game at 99% completion, as I’m unable to finish The Watchers and the Nomad crafting thing.
The differences will possibly be interesting as the DLC/sequels drop, however minor they will be.
Romances
So in my FemRyder PT, I romanced everything and everyone, before committing to Peebee, which was a satisfying relationship built on trust and proving yourself to be trustworthy, and so much flirting.
For Scott, he entered in a casual sex relationship with Peebee, and it was pretty clear she was falling for him (although why you’d want to sleep with your boss, I’ll never know), even asking him for advice on whether she should mate with Jaal, and if he’d be okay with it, to which he always replied ‘Don’t discount Jaal on my behalf.’ I was also flirting a lot with Vetra, because she’s just so damn adorable, and the email she sends you after you commit is super sweet! But in between flirting with Vetra and Cora and having Peebee as a side-fling, Cora totally called me out for flirting with Vetra, and I felt like a dog.
What I came to learn about Cora in this PT is that she’s a sensitive, delicate little flower wrapped up in battle armour. She has to be strong for the team, and for you, and will support your decisions (no matter how dubious), because that’s her job. But you kind of have to earn her affection by being a good person and making the right choices. I have to admit, after space boning Cora and still not being able to flirt with her during dialogue, I was a little disappointed. But I could totally see why that option is not available. Cora doesn’t want to be hurt. Cora doesn’t want people to look at her any differently because she’s boning the pathfinder. But in the scenes where you can advance the relationship, she seems so grateful that you feel the same way. Whether that is pandering to the straight male gamers, or just some complex character shit remains to be seen. What I found a bit strange about this relationship is that you can’t say “I love you,” like you can in the others (except Vidal, and Suvi and possibly other lesser, relationships). Whether that is because the love is implied, it’s too cheesy, other reasons, or because of an oversight also remains to be seen.
Additional notes:
Vetra and Cora’s dialogues on the Nomad are adorable as their friendship progresses.
Peebee’s plan to make Tann disappear for Cora is still one of my favourite banter dialogues.
Jaal telling Ryder and Cora the Angaran word for ‘sweetheart’ is also super adorable.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Second Playthrough thoughts
I was going to give ME:A about six months to air before trying a second playthrough, because it would have been my first second playthrough of anything. Not counting that time I had to start a NG+ in Arkham Asylum to get one dumb Riddler trophy, which I stopped after I got the damn trophy. But after the 1.05 patch, I suddenly had a few quests I couldn’t complete because I couldn’t go back in my playthrough. Quick note about spoilers - they follow.
So turns out, after retracing my steps and hitting every vault in every planet - again, I was stuck on 8/9 remnant data cores. My money is on the fact that I either missed a RDC in the vault on Voeld (I was cold, okay), or during Journey to Meridian. While I let a few quests go because I couldn’t complete them (Aid APEX, Path of a Hero), this one annoyed me because it came after I had finished the game. Plus, I wanted to know what the differences were playing as a *sigh* boy.
First up: While my Sara Ryder seemed non-chalant and *meh* about being woken up for the most exciting day of her life (and also pretty much the saddest), you can totally see the excitement plastered all over stock-Scott Ryder’s face. I don’t know if this is because of my custom Sara and her janky face, or if it is because of other reasons, but just seeing an animated person so hyped made me hyped. New galaxy, you guys.
Cora’s pissed off about not being pathfinder, but if you flirt with her, it makes it better. My FemRyder had to pull the logic card on Cora and put up with a lot of pouting, but Scott, well, not so difficult. I swear, if someone flirted with me while I was trying to express my concerns about being repeatedly rejected in all avenues of life, my response would not be blushing.
Vetra’s opening scene is awesome. Total class! As is Drack’s. “Oh hey, I hate Nexus, just let me threaten you and grab this trophy wraith tooth, then I’m out.” I was much nicer to Peebee this time around, because now I know how to deal with her.
When Liam says “Into the breach,” I screamed in fear, then realised that I wasn’t playing DA:I. Good joke, BioWare. Liam is still boring as butts. Don’t know if that will change. Had a chance to flirt with Lexi, but turned it down, because I’ve seen her psych report if you do. I don’t remember if Lexi reminded SAM to make sure my FemRyder eats her vegetables, but it was funny. Also, Gil is even more adorable.
Goddamn, the guns at the start of the game suck. I need a good sniper rifle, stat. If only Drack’s 37 images of guns were real.
Cora’s garden went from dirt to fully grown plants in one day of using the vault on Eos. Goddamn woman! Is this part of her biotic powers, or does she just have a great fertiliser? Grow some veggies! Not ferns! Use your powers for good!
Also, Cora’s extra dialogue when you flirt with her is interesting. Why couldn’t you flesh out the other characters this much Bioware, huh?
Edit: last night I flirted with Peebee and got shit from Cora. I've been flirting with Gil too, because he is adorable. How did she even know? You don't own me, Cora! (But secretly you know you do).
