i'm new to the discord rp community (typically write on forums instead) but miss playing marauder era so much and this looks like a lot of fun! could you recommend any resources on how to start or give some insight on how it all works?

I’m not aware of any resources that explain roleplaying on discord, but I am happy to give you a rundown to the best of my ability. I’m not sure your familiarity with discord so please let us know if you need clarification on anything. There are two servers. The main server is separated into categories for administrative (notices, intros, rules, etc.), ooc (chat, plotting, headcanons, etc.) and various roleplaying categories (social media, group chats, and locations). The locations channels are used for paragraph roleplaying and reserved when being used by members. The second server is a dm server. It also has ooc channels for chat and plotting, but the bulk of the server contains channels for in character direct messages. They are private to be used as texting between characters. It all makes a lot more sense when you can see it in action and it is fairly easy to pick up that way.
