I’ve always had an interest in building and how they’re designed inside and out. I often take photos of infrastructure in my area and enjoy seeing the process of building and designing new buildings and how they impact the surrounding areas.

Continuation of my development pieces. The layer of paper represents the emotion of the person in the picture. On the left shows connotations of being trapped or confined. On the right shows wreckage or even disturbance.

This piece is part of a development inspired by the artist Alma Haser It captures emotion, shown through face and also shown through the tares of the paper.

I also experimented with figure and different medias to try to show juxtapositions of body types with colours representing how these bodies are typically viewed.

Artist copies from Elly Smallwood. Her work captures emotion in the female form and in facial features.

These pictures are painted in thick acrylic paint to demonstrate the different layers of people.

Ellie Kerr-smiley, Joshua Meils and Elly Smallwood have been a huge influence on my work.

I went from leaving paintings for their own interpretations of emotions to adding quotes reflecting the emotions of the subject painted at the time the photo was taken to add depth and more meaning.
