i THINK i've seen a post about this but still

simon saying "i don't understand why i can't fall in love with [marcus]" is so interesting because obviously we know why but for simon... his only frame of reference (from what we know) is how fast and hard he fell for wille. and we SAW how completely overwhelming and strong and intense that was for the both of them so it makes complete sense for simon to lowkey think that this is what it's normally like because he has nothing to compare it to. he thinks that it's meant to be like that . so for him he's so confused about why it's not working (or he's still in denial about why it's not working) with marcus but for the audience and for most people we know that what he and wille have is so unique and special and you can't just replicate it with anyone else

anywaysss... simon loves wille so much and i'm so glad by the end of s2 he's accepted that and even told wille
