right okay on my c!sapnap bullshit but like, his repetition of "it's only a joke" hits super hard because like, his role models for a healthy relationship (regardless of whether c!happy duo is a qpr or friendship or /romantic) are two super competitive men (bbh and skeppy) where they can shit on one another and argue but still go back to one another. like, their relationship in whatever form is it is so strong that they can say that they hate one another and still know the other doesn't mean it.

and while that's super awesome and a great dynamic, it does mean that c!sapnap hasn't seen the negative outbreak of arguments. because, like, everyone argues, but they love each other, right? it doesn't matter that they yell or say mean things, because in the end, they love one another, and it's okay.

so when karl screams at quackity that he's a murderer, when quackity yells that karl's a dick, sapnap knows they're joking! his dad yells at skeppy, and yeah, he calls him a muffin, but that's the same thing as a dick in bad-language, right? and they still love one another and are happy and not dead there's never been any death or murder between them what's a red egg?

but then c!karl screams that he never wants to see c!quackity again, and then c!quackity leaves and he doesn't come back, he says c!karl can never come to las nevadas, and then c!sapnap doesn't see quackity again, and karl doesn't remember, he doesn't remember quackity, and there's no hug, there's no "love you", there's no reconciliation? why's there no reconciliation? don't they love one another?

like, imagine how confused, how scared, c!sapnap would be, thinking that his fiances would be fine and then they aren't. they aren't.

now imagine how his view of c!happy duo's relationship influences his reasoning as to sticking by c!dream's side for so long. because, "because we're friends, y'know? like best friends, y'know. he definitely cares about me, right?" because how scared do you have to be to have known for so long that every insult is just a way of loving, and then being shown the contrary, that they didn't love you. that he didn't care about sapnap.

but it has to be a joke, right?

Second clip of James Tolbert as one of the Newsies at Disney’s California Adventure, this time taking the lead on a song. 

This is actually the clip that made me realize it was him- I was going through old footage from 2019 and recognized the voice. 

Apologies that I did my best to not get in the way of children watching the performances, so I ended up with obstructed views in videos and also videos that end suddenly.

A Very Starkid 2020

This year has been absolutely wild for us. So many amazing things happened I feel like we got spoiled. Since this year was so eventful I thought I'd do a year in review of everything that happened this year.

January

On the Pixel Playhouse channel we saw Curt Mega do a cover of Agony from Into The Woods on the 6th and Suddenly Seymour from Little Shop Of Horrors on the 27th.

February

On literally the last few hours of the last day we saw the premiere of Black Friday.

March

Still on Pixel Playhouse, on the 3rd Curt did a cover of Santa Fe from Newsies.

On the 6th, Robert Manion did a cover of Be Prepared from The Lion King also with Pixel Playhouse.

On the 11th, Robert let us know that his channel isn't dead and uploaded a cover of Somewhere That's Green from Little Shop Of Horrors which he also did on a Pixel Playhouse stream.

On the 13th, Jaime Lyn Beatty joined Andrew Barth Feldman on the first of the Broadway Jackbox streams.

On the 20th, still at Pixel Playhouse, Kim Whalen did a cover of In My Own Little Corner from Cinderella which she also uploaded to her own channel.

On the 31st, Team Starkid did a Broadway Jackbox stream with Andrew.

April

On the 6th, James Tolbert uploaded the first video on his channel and the first of several dance tutorials as he showed us the choreography of No One Remembers Achmed from Twisted.

On the 9th, Jon Matteson started his Twitch channel (thank you @autistic-paul for helping me with this one).

On the 10th, Joey Richter was in Pixel Playhouse's Social Distancing The Musical.

On the 11th, Robert organized an unrehearsed reading of Scream which was the first of the unrehearsed readings.

On the 17th, Jaime started her Patreon.

On the 18th, Clark Baxtresser let us know that his channel isn't dead and uploaded a cover of Harvest Moon by Neil Young.

On the 21st, Meredith Stepien let us know that her channel is dead and uploaded her first vlog.

On an unidentified date, Corey Lubowich got Oliver.

On the 19th, Team Starkid did a second round of Broadway Jackbox with Andrew.

June

On the 7th, Jaime went on the Potterless podcast.

On the 9th, Al Fallick came out as nonbinary.

On the 15th, the 10umentary premiered.

On the 25th, Brian Rosenthal and AJ Holmes were in the UofM Alumni Concert.

October

On the 4th, Team Starkid joined Andrew in Broadway Whodunit.

On the 10th, the first episode of Nightmare Time was performed.

On the 24th, Joey was on Whitney's Big Umbrella.

On the 30th, Meredith was in the first episode of Wow! Signal.

November

On the 2nd, Lauren, Corey, and Brian also went on Potterless.

On the 7th, we found out Mariah was going to be a part of Little Miss Perfect The Musical.

December

On the 7th, AJ was in The Last Magic Negro.

On the 11th, Team Starkid put on their first performance of A VHS Christmas Carol.

On the 25th, the Starkid Homecoming and Black Friday albums were put onto Spotify.

And I think that's everything. Hoping this next year is totally awesome!
