I’m back.

I was really busy the last couple of years but I’m back on artsy track so here I am! trying to make the most of it :p

Well. That is that. Just to introduce myself again:

I’m Rivka

I’m 26 years old

I’m an illustrator and an art teacher

I’m currently living together with my boyfriend in Hilversum (the Netherlands) ^^

I drew my brother this morning and I just finished the whole drawing. Don't know if I'm happy with the coloring though

I drew robots, girls, boys, creepy churches (with credit to a picture I posted on my personal blog).

Just the usual ya know.

I wanted to draw a robot,

but instead I drew a face.

I'm playing with new ideas in my head, because of a dream I had last week. 

I don't know how I can explain my idea in a proper way though... I will someday! haha

Step 1/2, progress with photo editing by hand ^^ Used a staedtler fineliner 0.05 and ofc a picture of myself.

A 're-make' of a collage I made a year ago. I'm happy with it, but I'm desperately looking for a proper background. Structures in black ink didn't do the trick.

I hope that I can show you the result ASAP!

Inspiring tv

I just saw ‘altijd wat’. That’s a opinion programme on the dutch TV. There was an interview with a refugee from Marokko, who left approximately 40 years ago. He lived and worked everywhere until he got homeless and jobless. He went to a couple of other countries until he came to the Netherlands. He worked at a circus for a while. After a year they put him on dutch classes, so he could learn the language. He met his wife there. They’re married for 30 years now. But let’s get to the point. He got more jobs after his job at the circus and he always worked until he got a couple of surgeries two years ago. He couldn’t work at all anymore. One day he walked in Leiden and saw a guy eating from q garbage can. He was sad because he was under the impression that a wealthy country should not let his people live that way. So he got to work and made food for the homeless everyday since. He is sponsored by some supermarkets so he all his groceries are free. So inspiring
