My best friend’s been in rehab since the very beginning of November and gets out at the end of this month. He’s not allowed outside contact, sequestered away in the mountains like a monk. Imagine though the unreality of once he emerges. Like yeah, Trump won the election and is now president again. The city you live in was (hopefully not is) on fire for January. That author you like? Yeah…let’s not even go there. Also you absolutely cannot have a drink about it all.

I just saw a dachshund accidentally play a theremin because her tail was wagging so much. So my new year is definitely off to a great start.

On the way home tonight, I saw a fluffy silhouette in the storm drain and thought it was a cat that had gotten trapped there after the rain. It turned out though to be a raccoon who very much did not appreciate my rescue attempt.

My grandma is coming to visit unexpectedly for 23 days but I've already planned out and bought tickets for all my spooky events for October.
So...sorry, grandma, but get earplugs since it looks like now you're going to my friend's noise show. Pack a corset for midnight RHPS. Bring a bunch of singles for the drag show at the dive bar. Wear some sneakers for the night time cemetery tour.
