Unexpectedly I love this series so much. Become my top 10 dorama. 🥹

I did love how the show let us see them missing each other and loving each other and wanting to be back together but being unsure how to feel about wanting that.

And then the adorable little train bit!? Baby boys! Darling children! Adorable gaybies!

I want grilled eel now, y'all.

And the hug. That's a great hug, desperate and loving and needy. Because the whole story has always been about meeting in the middle between two very different people and now they've found the place between where they are now and where they were and the place between the two food styles and they found their place.

Oh i love this Japanese BL series.... which some people may not share the same interest as me. It is:

Although I love you and you (English title)

Sukiyanen kedo doyaroka (Japanese title)

Since the first minute, I know the series would be different from the manga, we get many characters that wasn't in the manga. And it helps me a lot not to expect this series will follow manga sequences.

Boy I'm glad. I love the series.

And just like the actors claimed, this is not just BL drama, this is more of human/slice-of-life drama comedy.

We have Sakae, our charming chef in Osaka who put his heart on his sleeves, he loves with all his might and he is kind and loyal.. getting his heart broke already made him pause on his romantic pursue, until he meets Soga.

Soga, an ordinary Tokyo divorce salaryman assigned to Osaka branch. He doesn't confront people thus he troubling himself because of his trait. Just like any big city people, keeping everything to himself. A polar opposite of Sakae. You will feel stress watching him taking his emotion slowly, but trust me he is lovely.

In usual BL, we focus on the main couple plot or one of the lead plot. However, in this series we focus on each character plot. We get Sakae's arc, Soga's arc and SakaSoga's arc, no wonder it need 10 episodes.

Everything about this series just wholesome.

1. Each cast deliver their part and their body language looks comfortable around each other, we can feel how close and chaos.

Very pleased to see clingy Soga. The actor who played Soga make him adorable and pretty, like.... i understand Sakae's feeling.

2. The editing.

3. Dialogue script. Awesome. The banter between character even with cameos is so smooth like I see a real life drama in front of me.

4. The everyday issue: culture shock, corporate life, difficulty to satisfy people's expectation, maintaining relationship, moving on, exploring each other interest, dealing with past etc

5. The food. Ahhhh i love izakaya food.

6. Comfortable skinship. This maybe nonsense but I often see BL especially when the actors are new in BL, quite awkward with their skinship and the camera angle didn't help either.

7. Character development. With 10 episodes, i expect this much.

8. When they hug, i feel warm. When they angry, i feel bad. When they sad, i feel my tears.

I don't want to force people watching it, but if you didn't read the manga and want to watch an easy japanese bl romcom, give this a try.

Wow Nicholas Galitzine had hella busy couple years ago shooting on (i think) 4 films or series back to back?? RWRB, Bottoms, The Idea of You and Mary & George??? I'm so impressed 😲😲😲

It was such a blast watching Red, White and Royal Blue. I like it. No complaint at all because what do I expect in the middle of stress and life pressure, I like me some romcom.

My favs of RWRB Movie might be

1. The vicky~

2. The lake scene when Henry and Alex in their own headspace

3. Every micro gesture Nicholas Galitzine act out as Henry

4. Their hunger for each other lmao

5. The editing, while it is indeed a fast pace movie but the editing is on point

6. All the cast is so so so fitting to the character eventhough only a brief screentime

Love to rewatch it again on my sad time to boost my mood

Thanks Anon for saying this. I agree with you. When I knew KinnPorsche targetting 18+, I expect more mature audience, tho, we can be 16 and already mature, but that beside the point. What I expect from mature audiences is fully understand the borderline between fiction and reality. Be on cloud also not that agency who feeding shippers whatsoever. I don't know why there are still audiences who like to out the actor.

About Apo's post and fans' reaction, I'm with you. My first thought before reading any, was that probably people in the industry saw him as weird because:

- Though I think he's one of the most handsome Thai actors, he doesn't fit the cute/prince stereotype for a male lead. Even for straight shows they pick "Chinese looking" ML and are obsessed with their "mixed blood" 🙄🙄. This is not a main reason, but it's important

- His personality. Like you said, I don't think he'd be the type of actor to stay put and do whatever they make him do for promo. All of us who have followed any Thai actor from the beginning of their career, we've seen how during their first projects they had to do stupid and cringe stuff, be quiet, and above all, play the whole fanservice game. I don't think he'd done that. And he also doesn't turn down his personality in interviews. Most actors, at least at the beginning of their careers, are very mild/calm/shy I'm not saying they don't have a personality because with time we end up seeing them being themselves, but it's like they make them act a certain way and portray a certain personality that isn't "too loud".

Overall, I didn't get "I wasn't accepted because I'm queer" but I've been deemed as weird because of not wanting to hide my personality. I think he didn't fit the mold they like for newcomers so they didn't care for him or his talent and that's it.

As a lesbian, I'd love for queer actors to be able to come out. This is BL, ffs! why would they have to be in the closet working in this genre! and I'd support him if all this fans are right, of course. However this obsession with anything they do being a sign of them being queer is getting toxic and counterproductive. I know it's not the first time it happens, fan's tried to out 90% of the actors, and by now it's kind of sending the message that (1) we don't know where fiction ends, (2) we don't respect what actors say (either about being straight or just plainly asking for respect about their privacy like in this case), and (3) we like outing ppl just for entertainment.

I thought this show being for mature audiences, not being the cutesy type and the way they've been handling promotions and interviews would mean that we wouldn't have this type of issues, but here we are...it's starting to give tiny TharType era vibes and I don't like it. I might be getting too old for this lmao.

As more people join the KP fandom, some may ask, what genre is KinnPorsche?

Answer: Yes.  

I’ve heard it’s a gay romance. Really? Yes, there will be a thorough exploration of tonsils and flicking of man tits. Also the world’s most emotionally intense hand job. You will have tears in your eyes.

What about the action? Someone is shot in the head in the first 5 minutes. There is a body count, so if you need blood, this show is here for you.

Torture? We have you covered. I recommend a transparent rain coat. 

So it’s a serious action drama. Any comedic moments? More than you can imagine. How do you feel about a man dressed as a mermaid for punishment? Flying dicks? Flying hand grenades? Wacky hijinks abound. 

Sexy moments? Bring a tall glass of ice water to watch this show. This is some off the charts chemistry. No bathroom is safe from these two. Or pool. Or window.  

Adorable fluffy moments? Absolutely. Come for the murder but stay for the mafia boyfriend submitting to a million goofy pictures with his chaos gremlin. Also a wholesome side couple serenading each other, if that’s your thing.

Then it’s not a show with painful angsty moments. Au contraire. It will tear out your heart and FEED IT TO YOU.  

Family drama? It’s all about family. And carp.

I can’t watch a show without a murder board. Is there a conspiracy and murder-mystery? That’s in there, too. Kimlock Holmes is working on it. He just needs to find the conspiracy and the murder and the murderer. 

I need me some morally gray characters. How do you feel about dubious choices, followed by consequences, and heartfelt apologies? 

Horror? Well, there’s a horror movie night…

I’m almost afraid to ask, but sci-fi/fantasy? Yes. Through the power of gay sex, our protagonist was completely healed of a gunshot would. Not even a scar remains.

So I wondered why Kinn callingPorsche whore, what is the connection between whore and shoot your ex?

Did Kinn think Porsche know information about him shooting his ex by using his body to Vegas, hence he said whore?

What if...

Kinn make a false report to the family and the world that he killed Tawan. Just like what he willing to do for Porsche when he asked Porsche to leave him in the forest. Maybe... Kinn didn't have enough gut to kill his ex, because he still love him back then, so he break up with him and told him to go far away (or abroad).

Though, he never expect Tawan to come back.

Knowing Tawan still alive and Kinn aware of it, could make Porsche hurt. Moreover, when Porsche see himself physically similar like Tawan. He will think he just a replacement. (Foreshadowed by Tay's words in the hospital: he didn't want Kinn to replace someone with another one)

Yes, Kinn's weakness is his heart. Deep inside he is a hopeless lover.
