This afternoon I played chauffeur and guide to my daughter who was looking for interesting sites to photograph for one of her college classes. I took her to a few of my favorite spots but didn't take a camera along for myself. Luckily I was able to capture a few interesting shots on its my iPhone. There is so much beauty in the stark, barren silence of California's deserts.

Just returned from Washington D.C. and while most of the cities visitors were bitching about the Capitols renovation I was mesmerized. There is something uniquely beautiful, and frankly symbolic, of the nations seat of government and power trapped within a maze of steel, wood, and canvas. #washingtondc #gridlock #historic #resistanceisfutile
