Week 12.
Presentation
Unfortunately our presentation wasn’t marked... This means that our group will have to retake it in the summer. Furthermore, our group was split in two groups. Well I don’t really want to comment what happened because it frustrating me...
What I really liked while been watching presentations was the last group. Their topic was “Radio Show”, basically it was a recorded story with added sound effects. I liked the idea how it was presented like they turned off the lights in the class room and everything became completely dark. The darkness gave me the sense of peace and interest what will happen. So as the story began to play from the radio I immediately started imagining the story in my minds and I really liked it. The story was futuristic about time travelling and as I understood butterfly effect because it ended sadly. It looked like it was audio cartoon for adults. I personally think they did great project.
I’m posting picture made by me which reflects how I felt and imagined the story.
And this is it, we finally finished the second semester. Wish you all to have a great Eastern holiday.

Week 11.
Creative Production
The book is on the process of making. Three members from our group including me have decided to make the last part of our story which tells that The British Museum will become a teleportation station in 3019.
Of course once again we have disagreement with one of our group member... We have this problem since the beginning of our project... Well the book is almost done so we decided don’t pay attention to her. I understand that it is a bit rude from us but we couldn’t find the solution... We still have another girl who doesn’t care about it at all and that really makes me sad. Well but it is how it is...

Week 10.
Creative Production
By the week 10 we finally started making the book. It is very good that in our group we have student from illustration course who has better understanding how to print and create aesthetic looking book. We came up with the final idea which is foil laminating on paper. The examples look really nice.
Moreover, our group still have problems between each other, the problem now is that only three of us making the book and other two group members not taking part on the process of the book making at all... That’s really disappointing. The thing is that we don’t want to argue with each other but if we have group meeting I think everyone should attend, especially when we have only few weeks till our presentation...

Week 9.
Creative Production
So our book will not be a pop-up anymore. We decided that it would be better if we would print the book on transparent paper. The idea is to show layering of four pages, what it means is that from the first page you will see the last one and it will create interesting looking picture. I actually prefer this idea more than the pop-up because I think it would look a bit different and unusual. The problem in our group is that we haven’t decided yet how story will end I mean the last page. I would prefer the idea that in 3019 The British Museum will become a teleport station not the resort by the beach...
Sadly we have a huge disagreement between group members and one of the girls is not participating in a group project at all... But I guess everyone who ever had group projects have faced with the same problem, you just have to deal with it, different personalities and strong opinions will always have the same misunderstanding. Hope we will solve this problem...

Week 8.
Creative Production
We have created a storyboard based on our idea which is about The British museum in the future. The book will be for kids and age category would probably be for 4-6 years old kids. We are thinking to make a pop-up book because that will grab the attention of the kids more than a simple book. It will look more interactive. Unfortunately again not everyone from our group participating on the process and the development of the book that’s a bit annoying, as well we have a disagreement between two girls about the story of the book... Hope everything will be ok by the time and we will find a solution to the problem.

Week 7.
Initial Project Presentation.
Our group have presented our idea to the lecturers and other students from the module. The idea was explained clearly and accepted by the lecturers. Sadly not our group members showed up...
Our palimpsest is based on 4 time layers: present (2019) and future (2119, 2519, 3019). The project is about future predictions, so we can create whatever we want because you can’t really predict the future. The only thing you can do is to imagine what might happen. Thats why our creativity for this project is unlimited in choices.

Week 6.
Our group have chosen to do a palimpsest on the British museum.
We chose The British Museum because it is one of the world's largest and most important museums of human history and culture. Our first idea for the project is to make a futuristic book for the future children. In my opinion, it is a nice idea even if it wasn’t my idea. All group members agreed with this idea.
I think The British Museum is a good choice because it shows political, cultural, commercial, social factors which we need to show in our project.
The oldest public museum in the world.
Commercial (Tourist attraction).
Political (Shows power, British empire).
Cultural (Has artefacts).
Social (Place to meet, Stories/ Communication).

Week 5.
We been talking about the palimpsest and how to read Cultural artefacts.
Palimpsest- something reused or altered but still bearing visible traces of its earlier form.
So we had a field trip in CARNABY to record/decode for Palimpsest. What I found very interesting about the Carnaby that it is the Spirit Of Soho mural. For years Carnaby was the place to be if you were a creative in search of inspiration.
There is no dispute, Carnaby has its rebellious identity and iconic heritage, was affected by different subcultures and styles. From being the birthplace of Swinging London in the 1960’s, the home of Mods, Skinheads, Punks and New Romantics to the street style tribes of today. Carnaby has and always will be the epicentre of culture and lifestyle in London’s West End.
Exciting music stars including Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and style icons Brigitte Bardot and Elizabeth Taylor were all Carnaby Street regulars.
When you enter Carnaby street you can feel that magnificent spirit which gives you that sense of bohemia and art. Most of the monuments, art installations or shops there have history which creates the story and remains the days when it was one of the most popular haunt among creative and bohemian types.

Week 4.
Our group chose to talk about how social media harms your mental health.
Nowadays more and more people are obsessed with social media and their icons who seems to be perfect on social media, but the reality is a bit different.
In my opinion main problems are:
Self-esteem
We all have our fair share of insecurities, some that we speak about openly and others that we prefer to keep to ourselves. However, comparing yourself to others on social media by stalking their aesthetically perfect Instagram photos or staying up to date with their relationship status on Facebook could do little to assuage your feelings of self-doubt.
Mental health
Not only has social media been proven to cause unhappiness, but it can also lead to the development of mental health issues such as anxiety or depression when used too much or without caution.
In March 2018, it was reported that more than a third of Generation Z from a survey of 1,000 individuals stated that they were quitting social media for good as 41 per cent stated that social media platforms make them feel anxious, sad or depressed.
It is also important to note that social media does not affect all people equally, the researchers add, as some individuals may be more susceptible to the negative aspects than others.
All in all, I think social media is neither wholly good nor bad for our emotional well-being, and that its impact on our mental health depends on a number of factors, including how it is used. And while the risks of these platforms should be acknowledged, so should their potential to help people, especially those already struggling with mental health issues.

Week 2.
Pop-Up tent. Our idea was to create a tent which could have VR, AR, MR.
It’s a tent where immersive multimedia or computer-simulated reality, replicates an environment that simulates a physical presence in places in the real world or an imagined world, allowing the user to interact in that world. The tent will be providing immersive experience that utilizes all five senses, allowing the audience to connect with the places through motion, vibration, water, wind, snow, lightning, scents, and other special effects that enhance the visuals. As well, speakers will be strategically placed throughout the auditorium to optimise the sound.
Exciting visual perception will create real scene simulation experience.

This semester I started studying new subject at uni which is called ‘Pop Goes the Now’. So our first task was to travel to Tate modern gallery which you probably all know and write little review based on our emotions and connection with atmosphere which surrounds us every day.
But let’s make long story short, what I really liked at Tate was one of the Tania Brugueras exhibitions ‘the crying room’. That room contains an organic compound that makes you cry. An organic chemical compound is constantly pumped into the air, which naturally makes your eyes water when you enter.
I liked the idea that "Tania wanted to created what she called forced empathy." And it's a sort of antidote to the social media consumption of news and to the tear emoji, to the way people often do this sort of virtue-signalling of tragic content online.
So I created this image where tried to express my emotions what I felt during the exhibition.
