So... why did Jayce have to kill Salo? He only really needed to kill Viktor to destroy the Hexcore. They show Jayce not killing the child or any of Viktor's followers. And if they wanted to indicate that Jayce killed others, even off screen, I feel like they would have alluded to it.
I think he just didn't like Salo in the first place.
