Negotiating relationships is hot and sweaty work. This is not as slick as you think it is. she, her/s. polyam.

Uh so something happened
Like yadda yadda modern interpretations and stuff but like, the quote is
“I wish I were a fair maiden, then I would woo him [Lancelot]”
There is some context to this, and based on the context it can be debated whether or not Gawain was trans, but still. Oh but on that note.
Gawain is absolutely bisexual. Regardless of the context, if you’re a man and unironically express a desire to sleep with what is clearly a man, then you are some flavour of gay. And Gawain, the ladies man of Arthurian myth, expressed a desire to sleep with the handsome knight. He is at the very least bisexual, probably poly or pan given how he’s slept with magical creatures and loved a wide range of women.
Just my two pence.

Totally subjective observation so don't come for me, but it occurred to me today that I've never had to argue about vaccine efficacy with polyamorous people because most of the ones I associate with are smart enough to engage in regular testing and vaccination prevention for STIs--and if they aren't, I didn't keep them in my life long enough to discover their Covid response. Now mask habits, on the other hand...

One of the things about polyamory that runs a little counter to common public perceptions: NOT getting to have what you want. Twice this year already I've developed mutual feelings with someone (we both -want- it) that can't go anywhere. One's a newish friend whose spouse can't handle the multiplicity. The other's a very old friend who's very long distance and this really needs to stop being my type. In both cases, it's likely that the relationship won't ever grow into what we both feel is its full potential.
#is this polybaiting#there's gonna be a lot of other kinds of bating#fml#enjoy what we've got and try not to be sad

Consider: a gay dude and a lesbian who are BEST friends and also dating the same person but not each other because they are a gay dude and a lesbian but their mutual partner has a weird enough gender for it to work

The last ten days or so, I've had a series of deeply detailed and vivid sex dreams featuring men from my past. Some are good friends. At least one I've actively rejected and have zero sexual interest in. What is going on in my brain.

Randomly thinking about one of my peak polyamory moments:
The last Christmas before Covid, I went to a Christmas party hosted by one of my then-partners. He had a photo booth set up, so I rounded up all the other partners who were attending and took a group shot as a keepsake.

The queer community needs to understand the inadequacy of language lmao. I don't think we'll ever have the accurate labels to define ourselves in a largely cisheteronormative world. We can try our best, but please just live your lives and try not to invalidate others.

1. Get addicted to podcast
2. Join the Patreon
3. Start getting caught up on bonus content
4. Realize the DM on this liveplaycast was also the lead writer on one of your favorite video games
4a. And his sister voices your favorite character
5. Look up what else he's done
6. Find a weird internet rabbit hole where bigots hate him?
7. Realize bigots think talking about open marriage makes him a loser
8. Realize if he's queer and enm that makes him even more attractive
9. Realize trying to confirm these assertions would probably mean dwelling in the swampass of the internet
10. Use your own writer brain to craft imaginary scenarios where you meet him at a con and go get a drink and somehow manage to keep up with a portion of his excellent wit while maybe flirting without entirely managing to embarass one or both of you
11. Sigh about the limitations of parasocial relationships, even with a huge dose of potential interactivity
12. Go get more caught up so you can ask pertinent questions in the Discord or maybe make the DM uncomfortable with compliments

Can't sleep. Went to my local brewery this afternoon to run book club, then started working on the communal puzzle cause I am literally the coolest. Cute queer couple came in and clearly wanted to join so they did and now we're besties cause it's hard to find queer polymam people in this largely conservative retirement town. I've been pinging between wired and tired for. hours. New people! I met them when I was tipsy and what if they don't like me sober! But games and puzzles and crafts! We broke the brewery record with our puzzle party! Why am I making all my adult friends fighting or being an old lady!
#not a euphemism#we really did a puzzle#is this social panic#or just queer panic#crafting and also craft beers

Playing Skyrim, reminded I love Michelle Forbes' voice.
Realizing my intense fascination with Ensign Ro was an early crush.
Wondering if this is what drove my parents to both tell me, separately, that they were relieved I'm not gay*. Like, did they know?!

my mum asked "isn't polyamory basically just cheating?". common misconception! polyamory is not about cheating on ur partners. polyamory is about gathering enough people to have a dnd party.

So much prettier, to boot
Hello, I Made An Updated Version Of The Polysexual Flag!
the pink stripes represent:
queer love
arospec and acespec and polyamorous polysexuals
attraction to many, but not all genders
the white stripe represents:
transgender, genderqueer, nonbinary, and otherwise cisn't polysexuals
and the dusty lavender stripes represent:
defiance against heteronormativity, allonormativity, cisnormativity
defiance against monosexism
solidarity with other multisexuals
lavender and pink were chosen as the primary colors because of their significant history in the queer community and how it represents love respectively; I specifically chose that shade of pink as it was the first stripe of the OG polysexual flag
my reasoning for making a replacement was to make a polysexual flag that is more accessible and has more meaning for our community, as I felt the OG polysexual lacked both of these things as the flags meaning isn't all to different than the pansexual flag + it's design causes many people including myself eyestrain
I hope you all like it!
