every time i see discourse about pedohysteria amidst a trans genocide i think about that news article from 2016 about the mexican immigrant who voted for trump because trump said heâd get rid of all the âbad hombresâ from mexico, only to be deported himself because it turns out what trump was really saying was that he wanted to deport all mexicans, not just âthe bad onesâ
not just him, but there were many other examples too, like white conservatives who have mexican immigrant friends and family or people in the community important to them who were mexican immigrants, and they voted for trump because they thought trump was just getting rid of âcriminalsâ, and then they regret it when their families and communities get torn apart by deportations of their spouses, their friends, their favourite restaurant owners, etc.
anyways, i hope young queers, trans people esp, understand that when conservatives talk about âpedophilesâ and âgroomersâ, theyâre not talking about actual child abusers, theyâre talking about all queer people. theyâre talking about all trans people. itâs why in florida, theyâre categorizing âdragâ as a child sex crime, and making sex crimes against children punishable by death. theyâre trying to execute every single trans person, and thatâs just the rhetoric theyâre using
so stop buying into the pedohysteria. itâs easy to think âwell, iâm not a pedophile, so iâll be safeâ when you donât realize that in the eyes of conservatives, every single queer person is a pedophile and deserves death, and contributing to their rhetoric by trying to figure out which trans woman is a pedophile is just accelerating your own march to the gallows

when i tell people i only use it/its pronouns and that they feel euphoric and like i'm being referred to correctly, most people's immediate gut reaction is "i don't like that, i would be so uncomfortable being referred to as it/its."
i have great news for you! you won't be addressed by it/its pronouns! i will be! lucky for you, these are my pronouns, not yours, and at no point will you ever be referred to by it unless you explicitly ask me to!
whenever i explain that i feel great discomfort and dysphoria being referred to by they, he, or she, these same people suddenly fall silent and have nothing to say. imagine if every time someone told me they use they, he, or she pronouns, my immediate response was "i would be so uncomfortable being called they/he/she, i don't like that."
this reaction is one sided and is only used to target it/its users. no one else. when someone tells you their pronouns are it/its, keep your discomfort to yourself. that is your burden to bear. we have to accept that all pronoun sets, no matter how "normalized" they are, are going to make certain people feel like shit.
when a trans man asks you to use he/him pronouns because she/her pronouns makes him uncomfortable, your gut response isn't to say "he/him pronouns make me uncomfortable, i won't refer to you that way." when a trans woman asks you to use she/her pronouns because he/him pronouns makes her uncomfortable, your first reaction isn't to say "she/her pronouns make me uncomfortable, i'm not going to use them for you."
people can have bad experiences and even trauma with any set of pronouns, this is not exclusive to it/its. there are trans men across the world who feel like absolute shit when people use she/her pronouns for them, there are trans women across the globe who feel like absolute shit when people use he/him pronouns for them. nobody seems to consider this. any pronouns can cause discomfort.
don't single in on it/its users. don't make the first comment out of your mouth be about yourself. don't make someone else's pronouns about you. keep your personal discomfort with those pronouns to yourself. that is not the it/its cross to bear: that is yours. you don't get to decide what pronouns a stranger can and can't use, that's not your choice, you don't get to make it for them.

He sounded interested and even concerned. I thought he had been touched by what the doctor and advocates in the meeting had just shared about their journey with their patients and their own family members. But I was wrong.
âThose people . . . â Donald said, trailing off. âThe shape theyâre in, all the expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die.â
I truly did not know what to say. He was talking about expenses. We were talking about human lives. For Donald, I think it really was about the expenses, even though we were there to talk about efficiencies, smarter investments, and human dignity.
I turned and walked away
[from later in the article]
Donald took a second as if he was thinking about the whole situation.
âI donât know, he finally said, letting out a sigh. âHe doesnât recognize you. Maybe you should just let him die and move down to Florida.â
Wait! What did he just say? That my son doesnât recognize me? That I should just let him die?
Did he really just say that? That I should let my son die . . . so I could move down to Florida?
Really?
[...]
Maybe I shouldnât have been surprised to hear Donald say that. It wasnât far off from what heâd said that day in the Oval Office after our meeting with the advocates. Only that time, it was other peopleâs children who should die. This time, it was my son.
When youâre legitimately so evil you tell a parent, your own fucking nephew, to their face that itâd be more cost-effective to let their child die because they are disabled.
Honestly, it's not the ableism or eugenics that shocks me. Donald Trump has shown who he is time and time again. I guess what got me was that heâd be willing to hold the same views for family members.
Usually these types of people make exceptions for their own. âItâs not immoral if itâs my abortion, Iâm only doing this because I have no choice, mine is necessaryâ kind of thing.
But nope. Donald just straight up thinks his great nephew should die because itâs expensive to keep him alive.
Jesus Wept.
Fucking vote. Please, Iâm begging you. As a disabled immigrant who isnât able to vote I see so many people saying theyâre going to boycott the election by not voting and I want to scream.
You boycott products by withholding money.
Not voting in elections only disenfranchises yourself. Youâre not protesting. Youâre giving tyrants power.
Please vote like peopleâs lives depend on it because they do.
If you need help figuring out how to register I will help you but please. Please vote.

how to be a functional witch:
- remember magic and science can coexist , donât blow off a doctorâs appointment for a healing spell.
- donât act higher and mightier than non-witch freinds
- donât like drink water thatâs been sitting there a while (sun water, moon water, rainwater, etc) without boiling it first to rid diseases. donât drink lake, pond, or sea water at all.
- respect others in their chosen paths. yes, even that one.
- please be kind to the environment. when leaving offerings, try not to leave things that will take a long time to degrade. donât use plastic bags, jars, glitter, etc.. sheâll be hurt.
- factcheck. factcheck. factcheck! Iâve heard stories about lotions and tea made with highly acidic or heck even poisonous tea.
- you come first. if you donât have the energy to do ritual, donât do it! donât neglect necessary things in favour of witchinâ. drink water, get sun, eat fruit, sleep, shower.
- try to practice little magic wherever you can. say soft incantations on the way to school, meditate on the bus, add herbs or to your tea to make spells or rituals in a cup, draw sigils on the backs of your hands.
- PLSâŚ..donât burn things while you sleepâŚ.candles, incenseâŚ.donât do it.
