I know I haven’t been updating this blog, I’m mostly on Instagram. But anyways, here’s some Polaroids from the SF Instant Photowalk with Brian Brooks and Friends. All were shot using the new Polaroid Reclaimed Blue film. It shoots and develops like Polaroids black and white film so keep that in mind if you’re able to snag and shoot this stuff. Really great film.

I recently managed to score a pair of the Nike SB Polaroid Dunks on the SNKRS app. My first time ever scoring anything during a drop. I guess it was meant to be. This is the first pair of dunks I’ve bought since like, 2016, and I’m planning on picking up a 2nd pair. Nike did a pretty great job on this colorway, I just don’t understand the white portion on the heel.
It would’ve been nice to have the whole upper black and the Polaroid frame on the heel white IMO, but whatever. Came with a bunch of colors for the laces. The swoosh is actually made up of 3 swooshes, one being a transparent yellow to blend with the other colors to create the rainbow. The red dot on the sole being the red button on a huge chunk of Polaroid cameras out on the market, specifically the OneStep box cameras. I think they look great with the white laces.
Really great collab!

Some Polaroids I snapped of Chaz at the West Coast Craft Fair at Fort Mason San Francisco yesterday. It felt so good to sit down and talk with him about life and things. Been too long, and I wasn’t able to catch him after his recent show at the Chapel in San Francisco so this definitely made up for it. He was selling some exclusive merch for WCCF and he let me sit in his Jeepney with him. It was great, had a really good time and a really great weekend.

Polaroid of Jacob Allen of the band Puma Blue at The Independent San Francisco. I had a really wonderful time at this show. It felt so good to be in a room surrounded with like minded individuals just enjoying some really amazing music. It was so nice meeting Jacob, he was incredibly down to earth and was super chill about signing my vinyl. I’m already looking forward to the next show…

Man, suuuuuper stoked about this camera, straight from Japan. I wanna give a very very special shout out to my homie Lorenze for being down for me and my work and for investing in what I do. It’s rare that I ever have anyone reach out and help with any sort of gear or financing for anything, especially since I rarely ever get paid for any of my work (and usually when I do I just break even and don’t make a profit). Thank you so very much for helping me get one of these. I’ve wanted one for a very long time but it always sat in the back of my mind because I was so busy buying film for other Polaroid projects or buying cameras fit for on-the-go type of work.
I’m looking forward to shooting with this and seeing what it’s capable of. Finally got a big boy camera with a beautiful lens to take crisp portraits. Very excited to try it.

Polaroids I shot around Japantown SF yesterday with my friend Miles using my SLR670S with the Rezivot Power Ranger to shoot Peanuts X Polaroid film. So sad that so many businesses closed down, but I’m glad it was busy there yesterday when we hung out. I hope it gets better for Japantown SF.

Congrats to my friend Brad Lewis on the Grammy for his work on Kanye West’s album “Jesus Is King”. Crazy how I’d watch this guy perform beat/DJ sets around San Jose years ago, and now he’s winning big! A Lion’s Aperture is my favorite album that Brad came out with (from 2012) and I like talking to him about his beats and his production when I see him. So proud of this dude for all his hard work and dedication to his craft! He definitely deserves it!
Took this Polaroid during our shoot for San Jose’s Content Magazine a few years ago. Man, so many years ago, crazy how time flies!

My Rezivot Power Ranger came in yesterday. The Power Ranger is a device that connects to the bottom of an sx70/SX70sonar/680(without flash on)/670s to allow you to shoot I-type film. I-type film packs do not contain batteries, so this power pack provides power to allow the camera to run like normal. The way it connects is through 2 contact holes located underneath the camera behind the skin. Rezivot actually provided a hole puncher and diagram to make it easy to find the contacts.
I’m a little bummed out that I can’t use the flash on my 680 cameras with this even though they showed it off on their Instagram with a 680. They didn’t specify that but at least I can use it with my mint 670S. Looking forward to running all the limited itype film packs through this thing.
