One day in Alternia, four human children mysteriously appeared, claiming they had played a game called SBURB. This game, they said, had allowed the universe to end and had ultimately led to the downfall of the Empress, forcing the current ruler to abdicate. These children sought out the twelve eldest trolls on the planet, asserting that they wanted to shape a better future for Alternia. Initially, the twelve trolls were compelled to participate in the humans' plans, but they grew wary and resentful of these alien intruders who believed changing their society would be simple.

As time passed, the twelve trolls, tired of the humans' presumptuousness and convinced of their own superior understanding of their world, took action. When the humans had grown complacent, believing everything was proceeding smoothly, the trolls struck. They claimed the lives of these so-called gods, seizing control of their homeplanet.

The council of twelve remained, not out of a change of heart, but because they saw an opportunity to assert their dominance. Each member now reigns over their respective caste, governing in their unique ways. Politics, war, and relationships became their tools, and anything could happen to them and their followers as they navigated this new era of Alternian society.

Grimdark Dove kidnaps Karkat!!! When Dove goes rogue and faces against the other players, most were gearing for a fight against their formidable knight of time. What everyone didn't expect, though, was for said knight of time to unexpectedly appear behind the group with a time clone. Then said time clone took Karkat and disappeared with her. Now the players not only have to fight several time clones of Dove, but also search for their missing friend. Who knows what Dove wants with her...
