The Tetractys
was a very important mystical symbol in the Pythagorean cult. Among the several meanings, the Tetractys was used to represent the organization of space: 1. the first row represented the point, the dimension of “zero” 2. the second row represented the line, the dimensioned “one” 3. the third row represented two dimensions, a plane, in this specific case, a triangle of three points 4. the fourth and last row represented the Three-dimensional space, a tetrahedron defined by four points.

Monday is named after by Mani who personified the Moon. TYR was the God of War, for whom Tuesday, once Tyr’s day, was named. Wednesday is Odin’s day. The Southern form of his name was Woden. What about Friday? There are two goddesses to be honored on Friday. They are Frigg and Freya. Frigg was the wife of Odin while Freya was the Vanir god of love. Sunday is Sol who personified the Sun in Norse mythology. Whether Sol was a god or not it’s a mystery. Unfortunately, there is no source talking about the god for whom Saturday honors...
