Chandelier Light..

Here's another photo from the shoot with Maisie Williams, this time I started to experiment with different colours and textures, Here I used a photograph of a chandelier light and stretched it across the image and experimented with the opacity and blending modes

So I have realised that I have not posted anything for so long! I have been looking back through past shoots and picking out unedited ones and editing them now

Here is a more recent shoot which was taken for UK fashion company Kukee. I loved working with them, their pieces are so beautiful and I loved photographing them! This was shot back in March when the weather was not great and there was no sign of sun just a very cold strong wind which in some photographs worked as an advantage.

I would love to go back and take some more photos for Kukee with their new stock and shooting on a sunny day this time!

Its been really nice looking at old photo shoots as a lot were taken back in my college years where it was such a rush to get projects in on time I feel I did not appreciate the photos as much but now I look back on them I have a lot more time to edit them and evaluate what I could have done better if I did have more time

Maisie Williams wearing the ZAM! dress for the first time

Hey everyone, just a quick update on the Out of Print fashion show., it has gone global

Maisie Williams wore the ZAM! dress to Comic-Con in San Diego last week, everyone seemed to love the dress and she looked great in it!

Here's the other edit to go with my previous post!

Now I know I have been posting a lot about the fashion show but I took so many photos and want to share them all with you! I thought may be time to have a little break from all what happened on the night so over the next few days I will be posting some edits from old photo shoots which I have yet to publish.

I have also been in contact with my friend and she wants to collaborate and make a fashion blog together so I hope all goes to plan and then I will have lots of new photos to edit!!

So here's some more recent edits for you. I have used this edit for two photos, this one which is a full body shot and another which is a landscape mid shot, I will be putting this one up in the next few days.

I know this edit does not show the amazing ZAM! dress off as much as the coloured edits but I love the filmic effect it creates and it really works well with the slight blur to Maisie's face which was caused by slight movement in a location with limited light. I feel this sepia edit really compliments this

Here's a few photos taken by me from a Skype call to Ryan Jude Novelline the night before the Out of Print fashion show, going through how the dress is worn and making sure it all fits, which thank goodness it did!

I thought I would share with you guys some of the photos which I took on the night of the Out of Print Fashion show.

 These are only a few of them, I realised after that I took loads and then had to go through all of them picking out the best ones to send to the newspapers but hey its always better to have more than not enough

Here's a few of Maisie Williams with the models and designers. All the outfits were incredible! In my next post I will be showing you some more of the amazing talent from the night but for now check these out!

Who knew such amazing items could be made from books and also be so wearable!

I am so glad that my idea went ahead and I had such a great team to support me. Such amazing things can be made out of books, as we have proved and they can also be wearable! Again this was such a great night and thank you to everyone who came and supported, we would love to do something like this again in the future, so stay posted!

Post two //!!

So I know I have already posted today but here's another quick one of what I have been working on today.

I experimented with creating a black and white film effect with digital editing and of course using a DSLR.

So here it is. It doesn't really show off the dress but I like the use of it for portrait photography.

It creates a real retro look and I think it works really well with the background and of course the model, Maisie Williams. She has very distinctive facial features and I think the black and white edit really emphasizes on this!

The ZAM! Dress //!!

So I have sent a few photos to Ryan Jude Novelline and he loves them which is so great to hear!

I checked my emails today and this is what I have been sent from him. I am so happy with the finished piece and am planning on getting it printed on a larger scale!

Now time to continue with the edits.

All the photos have now been sent out to the newspapers which gives me time to concentrate on this shoot!

Thursdays shoot with Maisie Williams!

So this week has been super busy but super exciting at the same time!

At the beginning of the week this 'ZAM!' dress arrived from America which was created by Ryan Jude Novelline who is an American designer. This dress here is made from recycled comic books including the famous X-Men comics!

This dress was worn by Maisie on Friday night as she judged the Out of Print fashion show at Bookbarn International which was a huge success and enjoyed by all!

The image above is taken from a shoot I did with her the night before the show, after coming off Skype to Ryan who told us how the dress is worn I went of with Maisie and got her to model the dress for Ryan Jude Novelline's website! It was a very quick shoot as we had a lot to do as the show was the next day and as I wanted to use natural light it was a very stormy day out there so I had to make do with the situation and work with it!

I would like to thank Maisie for being such a great model, she is so easy to work with and looks great in all of the photos!

This is one of my favourite photos from the shoot, I love the black and white edit! I am hoping to shoot with Maisie again sometime in the future, hopefully when the weather is better and we have a little more time!

As I said before the show was an absolute blast, all of the designer were amazing! It was so great to see my idea in action, and I also got to capture the whole thing on camera!

I am now super busy editing all the photos from the night for newspapers and editing this shoot with Maisie to send to Ryan! Its great to have so many photos to work on!

Over the next few days I will be posting more photos from this shoot and also from the show, I hope you like them!

Dress Rehearsal//Sneak Peak..

So last Thursday we had the dress rehearsals for the Out of Print Fashion Show. All the designers and models came together at Bookbarn International and practiced on the runway..

This was the first time we got to see everyone's designers, and we were amazed! They are all so different but each one is amazing!

We were also joined by our celebrity judge Maisie Williams who went around and spoke to the designers and models about their creations.

This is going to be one busy week for us. Tomorrow I will be photographing Maisie wearing the dress which as shipped all the way from America and created just for her by Ryan Jude Novelline. Then the next day is the Fashion Show, where I will be photographing all of the designers on the runway! Ahhhh..

The Out of Print Fashion Show //  Friday 30th May 2014

Sorry for not posting as much lately, I have been away in beautiful Greece!

Here's one of my photos of a beach on the island of Kefalonia, a minutes walk from our hotel

Anyway, back to reality..

I will hopefully be taking more photos soon as the fashion show is coming up & dress rehersals are even sooner so I hope to snap some behind the scenes photos of the outfits and how its all going, so I will keep you all posted

Here's some of the monochrome edits which I mentioned in my last post, I think they create a completely different effect to the coloured edits, it also helped to control the contrast of the shadows and highlights due to the natural sunlight on the day as it was very bright. The monochrome edits helped to compliment this and create a very strong contrast

  Here are some edits that I have been working on! I mentioned about this shoot in my last post.

All the edits I produced in this shoot were monochrome, as this is what was asked by the stylist who wanted the photos. I also wanted to see what they looked like in colour so her is a sneak peak of edits which will not be used, what do you think?

I will be posting the monochrome versions over the next few days, it would be great to get your thoughts on which ones you like!

Also just a quick update about the Fashion Show, as you know we will be joined by Maisie Williams star of Game of Thrones, who will be one of the three judges on the night. It has now been confirmed that we have an American designer who will be making a dress for her, using the same rules that applies to all the contestants..it will be made mainly from books!
