Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted an update. Not much changed for a while, so I didn’t think there was much of a point, because it would have just been a several-month string of ‘newsflash: I still have headaches’ lol. Since the last update, I’ve had two more spinal taps, the most recent one being a few weeks ago. It was a real doozy, but I’m all healed up now thankfully. 

The good news is, the pressure they measured (while still higher than ideal) was waaay lower than the first two times, so I’m finally starting to get better. So far, my headaches have not returned, so it looks like I can finally get back to working on cc (fingers crossed). There’s no guarantee the headaches won’t return though, as intracranial hypertension can come back for some people. 

That in mind, I am taking the rest of the year off from school to recover and make sure I’m in the clear before I go back. I think it’s much-needed for my mental health to, so I welcome it. More time to make cc anyways lol.

Spinal tap is done. They screwed up the first attempt so I had to go in again yesterday. Yesterday went much better than Thursday though so I’m currently recovering. 

I also had the joy of realizing I am probably resistant to local anesthetics for whatever reason. Probably genetics since my dad has had the same issue his entire life. Real fun.

small update on my health: getting a spinal tap in two days. Past few days have been pretty rough, so hopefully this will help me feel better for a while. I’m pretty nervous about it but I’m sick of being well, sick, so it is what it is.

I am a filthy custom content goblin

I have over 16 GB of cc and over half of that is hair. 

god I remember back in my sims 2 days I had this much cc, and it legit took my game 45 minutes to load to the main menu. I had 20 GB at one point, but my game got stuck loading for three hours and I gave up.

Well I didn’t really know this at the time of my last post but it turns out the big issue with what I (most likely?) have is that if left untreated it can damage my optic nerves and permanently impair my vision or make me go blind, so the neurologist actually wanted to see me much earlier than I thought they would. Appointment is tomorrow, and most likely they’ll just want to talk to me and then order tests for a different day. I’m on a trial dose of the medicine they use to treat the condition (if I don’t have the condition it won’t do anything bad), but so far I haven’t noticed anything significant other than that it makes me super drowsy.

Since this apparently can takes months to fully recover from, I’m officially taking off at least fall quarter of school, 50/50 chance I’m taking winter quarter off too. Honestly I probably needed it for my mental health’s sake, so I’m not too upset about it. Once I’m able to use my laptop for more than an hour or so a day I’ll start working on cc again, and not being in school, I’ll hopefully be able to get a lot done.

MRI came back normal for what they think I have, so now I have to be referred to a neurologist, which I probably won’t be able to get an appointment for at least a month, so that sucks ass. 

In the meantime my headaches are just getting worse, so yeah

Well I have been and will be delayed with making cc for a bit

I’ve been getting headaches for like a month and they’re getting worse, and being on the computer for an extended period of time is getting difficult. I went to the eye doctor and they think they know what’s wrong, so I’m getting an MRI tomorrow (technically today?) to confirm. 

It’s highly unlikely it’s anything serious given my current health, and should be easily treatable.

Currently working on overhauling the skin tones, and these three are what I have so far. I don’t know how many I’m planning on making, but I want to make skin tones that are more realistic and don’t look so super pink and yellow, as well as make more/better dark skin tones as well. 

I’m still planning on making more default eye replacements for the occult life states and pets, but I just got sick of not having a skin tone in my game that even remotely looked like me. 

These won’t be ready for a very long time though, as I have a lot planned. After I’ve gotten all the skin tones down, I’m going to repaint the base overlays for each age and gender, then make a skin details system to pick upper and lower eyelids, chins, noses, freckles, moles, wrinkles/dimples, and cleavage, and I do plan on making that compatible with Kijiko’s skin detail eyelashes. As I’ll be repainting the game’s overlays, these will also be slider compatible.

CopperIISulfate’s Starlet Eyes

I wanted some eyes for my sims that weren’t super mm or super alpha, so I went ahead and made these! I painted the textures from scratch in Paint Tool SAI and finally got around to uploading them on Mod The Sims.

I made these available as default replacements, and as contacts in the face paint category. Each version has a few variations depending on what colors you want, and I also included a .zip with resources for recoloring them.

She also got a job as a media intern somehow? Idk if that’s some setting in MCCC or what but she’s not sitting around the house doing nothing all day anymore. 

I know everyone loves to hate on Eliza Pancakes but I just went into the Pancakes household for the first time in my most-played save and the madwoman mastered the violin skill. 

Also the only people she knows/is friends with other than Bob are my simself (who I haven’t actually played in a really long time and never interacted with Eliza when I did) and Bjorn.

Does anyone else have issues trying to play the Bjergsen household? Half the time when I try to make Sofia practice singing she just stands there without doing any animations, but her skill will improve (without leveling up) indefinitely. If it goes over 100%, I lose the ability to click on anything or change sims and I have to restart my game.

Also they keep randomly getting trapped in the 1x2 doorless room behind the stairs, and one time I tried to make Clara shower in the first floor shower but she teleported to the bathroom upstairs and was standing inside the edge of the tub up there.

I do have an absurd amount of cc/mods but this is the only household I've ever had problems like this with. Idk I probably need to troubleshoot some more but I'm wondering why it seems to be just this household..

One thing I really don’t like about how sims are made in ts4 is that their mouths open really wide for animations. If I wanted their mouths to look normal in-game I’d have to make them stupidly small-looking, but if I make them look normal (or I guess what looks normal to me lol) in cas then they have fucking demon mouths or something in-game whenever they smile.
