MCC PROGRESS
I haven't gotten this far in actual years, and am pretty pleased with this. I've wanted to try again for AGES and tbh the thing keeping me from even getting started has been the building.
Oh god, the building.
I still have a few more lots to build, then the families, then I can start ayyyy
Anyway, what i've done so far ~_~
AS USUAL i'm not following the rules exactly. I'm starting with one more peasant family than the rules call for, and I'm going to use a list of Medieval ROS to make it a little more interesting. I also have been watching a particular "slice of life" medieval documentary rather obsessively, so I'm considering doing a monastery peasant farm thing, but idk how i'd work that in.
I'm also not sure if i want a fantasy angle, but odds are good...fantasy angle. I've never been one for pure realism.

The round ends here. An unexpectedly bitter end to the Broke family's round. Brandi sends a check to Lord Pleasant, a mergely $200 is all the family can afford.
Brandi will incur late fees for her inability to pay her rent and taxes in full. Let's hope the next season will bring forth better fortunes.

Dustin returns home in the dead of night, with all his needs plummeted into the red. He sits to eat but soon dozes off into his plate of lamb stew. He wakes up with a sinister sense in his gut... a feeling of dread... or rather death.

As Dustin prepares to leave, he runs into Lady Angela on a midnight stroll. He decides to stay and spend time with her, after a long and arduous day of woodcutting. Her presence makes him forget the toils of the day and lifts his spirits!

Dustin heads out to the forest for a day's work of woodcutting. He spends the entire day chopping down a tree, just to realize the felled tree cannot be split.
I felt so bad making him stay 'until 'til nightfall to redo the whole process on new tree, but the family's financial situation is dire!

I realized that no one was really doing anything... And for peasant sims, that seemed unnatural! Lazing around isn't a luxury that this family can afford. So, the aptly named Brokes got to work selling off their firewood inventory. And unsurprisingly, Lady Angela made an appearance and, even more unsurprisingly, Dustin devoted all his attention to her.

A newborn and an infant in the home was honestly too much headache for me. I chose to aged up both Crystal and Beau early for the sake of my sanity and Brandi's!

Brandi goes into labor and births a daughter. She names her Crystal in honor of her beautiful clear blue eyes which she inherited from her late father, Skip.
Dustin knows his role and responsibilities as head of the household; he steps up to care for his younger siblings while his mother heals from the trauma of childbirth.

Talk about a fool's errand! I sent Dustin to the forest to chop down trees, but he had no body skills and therefore lacked the strenght to do the work. So, I sent him to fetch water at the village green, but the well wasnt working (?). So, I sent him home finally to work on his body skills, and it's started pouring. Not a fun day.

It's been a while since I posted about my game, so here's where I left things off.
Now on to the Broke household! The woodcutter family lives on the outskirts of the settlement, conveniently near the forest. Brandi discovers herself to be pregnant with the child of her late husband. With very little resources, caring for her growing family will surely be cumbersome.

The final day of the round was dedicated to keeping the remaining Grunt men alive and cooled. With the loss of Tank, Ripp Grunt now assumes the position of heir (unless he decides to wed Angela Pleasant, in which case Buck will take over the role).
Sir Buzz issues a check of $4,004 to the squire, filling the coffers at last!

Sir Buzz is deeply distressed by the sudden loss of Tank, his beloved son and heir. Tank's brothers, however, show little concern or sadness, as they did not share the best relationship with him.
