Pirates of the South Seas
7 posts
Twenty years ago, the goddess of the South Sea vanished, trapped by the Pirate King into a prison of flesh and bones, leaving nothing but tears and curses behind her. As those left behind struggles to piece back together the remnants of theirs shattered lives, rumours of a way to bring back lost loves surface... Perhaps there lies the key to everything...

Can we give things to people?
You can! It will take a little bit of time, since (even though we haven’t touched upon it yet) you’re not exactly the closest location wise to everyone and things need time to be delivered.
Take also note that anything that would be too anachronistic (like a cellphone) or too powerful may get lost or altered on its way.

Family business?
Theodore Hamane: Yes. Personal things.
His answer is vague for a reason.

Who is the Pirate King?
Sam: The Pirate King? It's in the name, isn't it? He's the one that makes all the big decisions. He's the most powerful of all pirates, only rivaled by the reapers but... there's no proofs those even exist.

What was that fight about? Is everyone okay? ( @ the hamanes uwu)
Manon Hamane: I hope so. My husband Theo and my child Sam had a bit of a heated argument. Personal family business, about something Theo did a long time ago...Sam just needs some time to calm down.

What happened to the goddess of the south sea?
???: That's what we'd all like to know...
The man's voice did not come from any of the people whose fate you were observing.

Chapter 1: The Attack
Night falls quietly on Port-Royal. The moon rises peacefully over the horizon, its supernatural glow shining over the empty streets as the townfolks slowly fall sleep in their bed. From the manor atop the hill, shouts echoes and a door is slammed. A figure runs away the ancestral house, ignoring the call for their name as anger boil in their veins.
Laying down on her bed, their neighbour stares at the ceiling, wondering why their parents are calling their name again. Did they once more flee for the sea? Her mind wanders and she remembers the day they left for the first time, bringing their sister along with them, five years ago. She thinks of the afternoon her young self had spent with her best friend, looking for the two around town, and the promise he made her on that day.
Slipping into his own bed, downtown beside the forge, her friend thinks back to the man he had met during the day. He ponders how on Earth the stranger could have ended up in the town with no recollection of how he got there. Perhaps, the scars he had tried to hide from him were their best clue to understanding this mysterie.
Little did the young man know, the stranger, unlike what he had pretended, had a very clear idea of what may have lead him there, and the apparition on the horizon of a ship he knew all to well only had confirmed it for him. Did its captain, did his captain, after all those years, finally find it again?
Night falls quietly on Port-Royal and the moon shiness brightly over the horizon, leaving the darkened silhouette of the ship on the night sky. Who know how much longer would the quiet streets of the town remain as such?

The legend of the South Seas
The crowd stared silently at the men lined in front of the gallows, each of them waiting their turn to be hanged as drums rumbled silently in the back. On the gallow, shackles around his wrists, a man with a mane of fire proudly stood there, eyes scouting the crowd.
"Seth Hamane," the colonel stated, reading the captain's sentence off of a parchment.
"You have been accused of murder, thievery, high treason and piratery."
Where were they… where were they…
"As decreeted by his majesty the king, miscreants like you and your men shall be hanged and left to rot in public, as to serve as a warning for those who may consider following in your footsteps."
Bingo. The man he was looking for was standing beside Seth's wife and their young son, whom didn't even dare look at their father. How dare had his brother brought them here to watch?!
"May God have mercy for your soul."
As soon as the colonel went quiet, Seth's eyes crossed his brother's and he started singing, ignoring the feeling of the noose passed around his neck.
"The King and his men stole the Queen from her bed."
He remembered the trap, the look in her face, the spell, the power... all of it because his brother hadn't been able to resist.
"And bound her in her bones." A satisfied smile reached his lips as he saw the look on his brother's face.
"The seas be ours and by the powers…"
The executioner grabbed the lever, ready to pull and kill the man and Seth’s son hide his face behind his mother’s skirt.
"Where we will, we'll roam-"
The trap opened under his feet and Seth plunged to his death, the last smile etched on his lips at that moment, as he had seen his brother’s despair, fadding away as all tension left his body.
