Can we get some regressor Jane Hopper headcanons? She's been through so much!!!!!!!

Hey Anon! I did my best on these, they were very fun to write. Let me know if you want anything more specific or want any changes.

Regressor Jane Hopper head canons!

-When Jane regresses it’s usually a very subtle change. She grows quieter than normal and focuses far more on watching others than interacting with them, she still wants to be around other people but just doesn’t feel up to interacting directly.

-One of her favourite activities while regressing is to sit quietly in the living room and watch trash television while eating whatever sweet things she can find. Although she prefers live action shows she doesn’t mind cartoons and enjoys the silly antics.

-She has a very hard time with dark spaces and doesn’t like to hear running water while regressed, the taste of salt also puts her off when she’s in this state.

-I can definitely see her having a very strong temper when she regresses a bit older, she will not hesitate to throw things (either with her abilities or by her own hand)

-While regressed she finds some amount of Solice in calmly making things levitate and just holding them in the air for awhile, she also enjoys blanket forts (see season one as an example)

-She loves being regressed around her friends, they often don’t notice a difference but she will become more physically affectionate with them. Quick to give hugs and link arms.

-The first time she regressed around Max it was when Max was teaching her to ride her skateboard, as she was learning to stand on it she slipped and scrapped her knee.

-Jane burst into tears and refused to get up. Max had to skate to the nearest pharmacy to get disinfectant and band aids.

-Max can never put her finger on when Jane is regressed but simply understands that sometimes she’s a bit more childish and distant.

-Jane’s go to caregivers are: Hopper, Mike and Max (she likes to try on clothes with her)

I do not! As for if I want one,,,,, that’s complicated. I keep my regression fairly close to my chest and I really don’t like talking about it much, especially as of late. I’ve never really interacted with anyone while regressed so,, I don’t know if I enjoy it? So I guess before I can confirm that I’d have to see if being around other people while regressed (text or in person) is even something I’d appreciate, which may not be something I’ll ever have the opportunity or confidence to do.

I use them,, mostly chew on the shield and handle because the,,,,,,the thing,,,, the,?, ?? Long thing?? It’s small and hurts my lips fairly quickly.

Hmm maybe,, ugh I’m not good at thinking up designs for things like this,,,, I will instead show the most gorgeous one I’ve ever seen.

Hmm,,, perhaps one inspired by a great horned owl (with a realistic photo of them in the center) or something somehow orc themed,,, I like orcs :)

Ohhhhhhhhh complicated question complicated question,,,, usually I watch things while regressed?? I like content by a creator called "ask a Mortician" because her personality is super fun and I can watch her while not regressed (I also really like Hilda, My little pony and book binding/ general crafting videos)

uhhh I’ll go with the most unique thing!

So,, not to be personal but I have an anxiety disorder and?? Idk,, this plague mask I bought made me feel very comfortable when I first got it, it made me feel very safe and very quickly became a massive comfort object andddddd very quickly became a regression object! It is not EXCLUSIVELY a regression object and I don’t want to think of it as one but it very much helps me (it also has like?? Tinted glass for the eyes so it helps dim lights!!) I one day hope to get a fancy leather one that’s custom or smth,,, definitely will cost a lot but some people make them SO SO good.

- hm, don’t know if this one is a bit grim for this blog but in English folklore, Nightjars are said to be the souls of unbaptized children. They are also referred to as "goat suckers" for the old belief that they feed on goat milk (they pretty much only eat bugs) and have also been called "night ravens". Pretty funky little dudes, not enough love for them in the bird community if you ask me. We stan weird looking nocturnal birds.
