Big fan of the ‘Ford sorts his jellybeans before eating them, much to Stan’s annoyance’ headcannon. But I have a proposal

Stan is acting all grouchy cause the kids snuck a big bag of jellybeans in the cart when grocery shopping (he secretly saw them do it) but they get home and he pours the jellybeans into a big bowl and leaves.

He comes back and Dipper has a smaller bowl he is filling with only the blue ones (he only likes the blue ones) and Mabel is covering the table in sorted jellybean rainbows in between handfuls of the mixed ones in the bowl

Looking at Gravity Falls Pokemon AUs and not ONE of them has given Ford a Ditto UNBELIEVABLE

Soooo… I got so distracted with a cringetober prompt I fell off and started a new project.

The them was crossover and so I have a set of two illustrations (including this one) of the Stan twins with their own teams! It’s been so fun! I also will include a sneak peak of Ford’s team as well!

stan’s the type of guy in a pokemon vers to be like ‘i don’t like pokemon. i only keep them around for free labor’ and then half of his pokemon are friendship evolutions. like okay sure. where’d that espeon come from then stan

he’d also have a mimikyu. because like, c’mon. they’re just like him fr fr. he calls it a creepy rag and says he’s going to throw it out one day but we can all see you letting it sit on your shoulder and eat off your plate stan you’re not slick

Various doodles I've made to build onto Unown Falls while working on other things.

I gave Ford weaker Pokemon with high Special attack stats because I think it fits his childhood. He also seems like a monotype kind of trainer to me. I imagine that he's a psychic type magnet. The Reuniclus line is full of weird lil guys with Pokedex entries that fit Ford to a T.

Stan feels like a multitype trainer with Pokemon that are also kinda goofy looking but can hit like trucks. The Conkeldurr line has Guts/Sheer Force and Iron Fist as abilities and it is so appropriate for Stan. I gave him a lot of Pokemon used by villain teams as well. All of his Pokemon have nicknames.

Okay so here’s more sketches ignore the writing in studying for Chinese 101. I think Dipper’s first Pokémon would be Teddiursa because ursa is a constellation and bc of his friendship with the multibear I think he would find this spunky little teddiursa in the woods that wants to follow him around. Mabel is soooo jealous bc why does Dipper get a Pokémon first. Then she forgets all about it because she won Waddles (shiny lechonk) Mabel doesn’t really have an interest in becoming the champion she just wants her Pokémon to be pretty and cute so she’s a Pokémon contest trainer while dipper wants to be a professor like his uncle. Then there’s my doodle of Stan and ford when they were kids and I think their asses are just hanging around in the woods and hunting monsters, Stan is running circles around ford who’s walking slow asf bc he’s looking through his notes on the mythical Pokémon they’re chasing. My idea is that the twins are chasing after legendary Pokémon and they want to become professors together where Ford does all the nerdy research and stuff while Stan helps him do the physical part. They’re inseparable as kids and teens, they’re always fighting in double battles and they have great synergy. Their eevees almost always already know what they want to do before they even give a command.

So I saw this fanart of Mullet!Stan with Pokémon on Twitter and this kicked off like a 5 hour discussion between me n some friends about what Pokémon I think they’d have. My hc is that they both got Eevees as their starters with ford’s being shiny. Their parents couldn’t afford evolutionary stones or to take them to either the ice or mossy rock so they eventually evolved by friendship. Ford’s evolved first during the day and Stan’s evolved at midnight not because they were lacking any affection, they were just late bloomers. Their eevees would sort of take on the personality of the other twin with umbreon being haughty but caring and espeon being playful but protective. When Stan got kicked out, he took umbreon with him but considered sending him back or giving him up, but he couldn’t because of how much it reminded him of the better days with his brother. When Stan gets that letter him and his umbreon were extremely excited to see their siblings again only to find out that Ford didn’t have espeon anymore. Then the twins got into the fight and ford was pushed into the portal yada yada. It wasn’t until Dipper and Mabel came along when Dipper found the journal inside the tree alongside a pokeball. He was afraid to open it at first and Mabel convinced him to do so. The pokeball’s mechanics were so rusty that they struggled to open it but when they did out came a shiny espeon. It was extremely confused and even hostile at first but then it realized it was inside the shack and it ran out of the twine’s bedroom in the attic to go look for Ford. But he didn’t find ford, he found Stanley but everyone was calling him by Ford’s name. (I have more but this rambling has gone on for long enough lol)

(This is all just headcannon and fun don’t mind me but lemme cook real quick)

Like in the finale when he is shown being a “regular kid” and “busting a move on this skating board” ‘he’ just looks so uncomfortable to me, it’s giving “am I doing boy right???”

Growing up as a child star getting all dolled up and adorable all the time and then switching to regular traditional boy stuff would be real jarring but I doubt they will figure out why till she’s at least a preteen

I’m imagining she gets sent to some boarding school or summer camp for ‘problem kids’ after the EVERYTHING and figures herself out there amongst other things

Real extra with the coming out, confetti is kept in her pockets at all times Incase someone new asks about the new look

Bud Gleeful is real outwardly accepting and celebrating of the new gender but to the point of it being very obviously performative

I’m talking selling pride merch of her and showing her off on tv adds for his business and just genuinely doing the absolute most with more smiles to the camera than to his daughter. Once a parent of a child star, always a parent of a child star :/

Fuck Bud Gleeful btw. All my homies hate Bud Gleeful.

Gideon keeps the name for “brand recognition” as Bud suggests for a long time but she shortens it to Giddy Gleeful (her name now means happy happy! Lmao)

Giddy and Dipper upon meeting again have a very brief moment of Transmasc (I also headcannon dipper as trans) Transfem respect, pride and solidarity before immediately going back to hating eachother on sight

Mabel is torn because Giddy is a cute sparkly little lady now so must fight the need to be girlfriends /p and remember that this is still the person who did ALL THAT and gender doesn’t change morality

(Giddy does learn grow and get better than she used to be but is still an absolute menace!)

Grunkle Stan worries about his and Giddy’s nemesis thing cause he doesn’t want to threaten a young girl with a broom (think of the social repercussions!) so gets catty bullying lessons from Mabel and Pacifica

Giddy gets gender euphoria from those country songs about southern ladies killing their husbands for cheating on them
