Pieta's eyebrows rose at his words but she chuckled as she saw the slight smile he wore. Clearly his words were all in good fun. "You do?" She asked curiously, glancing back over at the couple for a moment before turning her attention back to the man. "And just why is that?" She asked curiously, head tilted as she finished up her own drink and placed the glass back on the bar.
"Really?" She asked with a laugh, shaking her head a little. "My family are vocal about everything, every little issue. It's not always fun but no one explodes," she told him, still amused by his words. He continued speaking then and her eyes widened. "That...sounds exactly like I'd expect from something in the 60's. A complete mess, really. But hey, now that's basically just Facebook!" Pieta exclaimed with a bit of a laugh, turning then towards the bartender and signalling for another drink. "I never will understand the need to broadcast the sad, shitty parts of life. I certainly never could," Pieta mused, leaning against the bar.
"Leo, lovely to meet you. Nice solid name, even without the lion reference. Short for anything?" She asked curiously, still grinning widely. "I'm Pieta, by the way. No clever little punchline to go with that though," Pieta told him, sending a playful wink his way.

“Huh.” Pieta grinned, nodding her head a little at the words, glancing over at the couple before looking back at the man beside her. “You might just be right about it being money…” She amused, reaching to take a sip of her drink. She relaxed back against the bar a little, eyes drifting back to the arguing couple who were now heading towards the door. Clearly their night had been ruined.
She hummed a little at his next words, brows furrowing a little as she turned to look at him properly. “Social media doesn’t help, sure. But couples have been arguing in public for decades, it’s not exactly a new development,” Pieta told him with a bit of a laugh. “Besides,” she continued with a shrug. “It’s entertaining at least. Right?”
She stuck her hand out to shake then, smiling widely at the man. “I’m Pieta. You are?” she introduced herself, straightening up in her chair a little.

“Oh, I’d put a wager on it.” Leo smirked broadly at that, face the portrait of mischief. He cocked his head sideways, hiding the smile once again in his bottle. And with a long sigh, he finished the last of its contents before setting it down with a hollow clank. “I feel bad for ‘em,” he added briefly. “Poor kids.” He huffed, but that was a thing he did, referred to people as kids however old they actually were. He rolled his shoulders.
“Eh, not where I come from. No fightin’ allowed. Real bootstraps folks, us. You just keep everything inside forever, and then you explode.” He grinned, flashing his teeth. “But yeah, I guess we’ve been delightin’ in other people’s misfortunes since forever, huh? Back in like, the 60s, my ma used to watch this show where they made these women go on TV and cry about their sad lives, and whoever was the saddest shit got a crown and a prize and shit. Ain’t that just a mess?” He laughed.
Taking her hand, he gave it a short shake. “Leo. Not wearing my lion medallion today, but there’s usually a punchline that goes with it.”

As the girl spoke, Pieta couldn't help but laugh a little. She wasn't at all surprised that it was exactly what she thought; after all, she'd done her fair share of duck and runs. Pieta shrugged good-naturedly. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with it. Don't worry," Pieta replied, "I've done it a few times myself," she admitted, grinning sheepishly.
As the girl spoke, Pieta looked her over curiously before finally letting her eyes settle on the other woman's, a smirk on her lips. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Charlotte. And I don't think it's such an old sounding name but, Lottie it is," Pieta told her with a nod. "So, are you running off to anywhere interesting? Or just trying to get away from....whoever it was you were here with?" She asked curiously, focused on the girl.

Pieta was a little surprised as she felt someone bump into her side, her glass of wine tipping precariously in her hand but spilling. Her brows furrowed as she turned, an amused smirk gracing her lips as she saw the woman crouching low and clearly trying to avoid someone. She let out a laugh then, at the other brunette’s words as she grinned wider. “It isn’t?” She asked, finishing off her wine and placing it down on the table.
Her head tilted a little then, almost as if she were analysing the girl before she spoke again. “Because it kind of looks like you’re trying to avoid someone?” Pieta continued lightly, laughing. “And hey. It’s not hard to forget someone you don’t know the name of, so… Don’t worry too much, hm?” Pieta replied, smirking with amusement at the odd conversation.

“…Okay, so it’s exactly what it looks like,” Lottie said, looking over her shoulder and coming to stand in front of the woman. In her defense, the date had been awful. Between his blatant staring at the waitresses and his incessant need to twist every conversation back to him and his accomplishments, she was sure that any sane person would agree with her efforts to run as fast as she could in the other direction.
“Right, got it,” She said, smiling gratefully at the woman. “It’s Charlotte, actually. Since I bumped into you and everything,” Lott cleared her throat nervously and pushed a lock of her hair behind her ear. “My friend’s call me Lottie thought. Charlotte sounds like some old French woman with two cats and three ex-husbands.”

An eyebrow rose at the younger woman's words, not sure if she was amused or offended by them. "A very nice offer, thank you," Pieta started, a hand settling on her hip as she eyed the other woman. "Lucky for me then, that I don't particularly care what people think about me," Pieta continued, shaking her head a little. "Besides, how do you know I don't have someone waiting at home for me? Or meeting me here? Probably shouldn't go around calling women spinsters," Pieta told her, rolling her eyes a little. "Are you in the habit of asking random strangers to join you and your friends?" She asked, lifting her drink to her lips and taking a sip.
Alissa`s laughter joined hers. Oh yes, a little banter between women. ‘Oh well, that would be too boring to stay and listen to that.’ she smiled, this time a bit awkwardly. What was she doing? What was she about to do? Oh, Alissa. 'Do you want to join us at the table? We have an all-girls night out and unless you are here to catch a hunk to get you drunk, it would be a shame to spend your night alone. It would make you look like a spinster, darling’ she added darling just to sound like they were already friends but they weren`t and Alissa never knew when to shut up and show her respect. As if the world was under her feet. Little arrogant girl, they would say and Alissa would smile and take that as a compliment.

The day had been spent surrounded by her family and Pieta had enjoyed it thoroughly. Her daughter had begged for a sleepover with her cousins and it was with a bit of a surprise that Pieta found herself childless for the night. She’d been laying low lately and had been spending most of her time with her daughter or around her family; an attempt at keeping out of trouble as her father liked to put it. He liked to ignore the fact she was actually a grown adult.
Still, Pieta intended to enjoy her evening, which was how she found herself at the decadent little bar that she couldn’t remember the name of. She was still on her first drink, though close to finishing when she noticed a couple not far from her, arguing. The scene amused her, letting out a chuckle when she heard the woman’s voice get louder and louder.
“What do you think they’re fighting about?” Pieta mused to the person sitting beside her as she leant against the bar. “My money’s on him flirting with a bartender,” Pieta continued, eyes alive with amusement and mischievous as she looked at the other person before back at the arguing couple.

Leo had developed his taste in alcohol at the ripe old age of sixteen, and to that end, he could sit in the swankiest place drinking like he was in a chain restaurant. With a low sigh, nevertheless, he leaned backward and placed his bottle on the counter-top, sniffing the air and giving a low hum. He cleared his throat, cocking his head at his neighbor.
“Nah, money. S’always money.” He nodded with an affirmative glint, as if deciding that were the absolute answer. And taking another long gulp of his drink, the man gave a lopsided smirk, shifting a bit to get better look. He seemed to be relishing in the opportunity to spy. “That’s the problem these days. Everyone wants to air their dirty laundry in public. I blame the Facebooks and the Twitters.”

Pieta laughed out loud at the other woman's words, grinning at her. She glanced back over at the arguing couple, shaking her head a little. "As fun as a threesome between them would be, I'm sure, I...doubt it. They wouldn't be arguing if they were down for something like that," Pieta replied, still smirking a little as she looked back over at the woman beside her. She chuckled a little then. "But hey, if they get any louder, we'll probably hear the reason anyway," she mused, sipping at her drink.
Alissa would love to say that she didn`t go to bars but what was she? A pension? So Friday nights were always reserved for a babysitter and her girlfriends. She was not a type to come back home past 10 but it still did not mean she would not enjoy herself, with a glass of Aperol and a smile on her face. The lady knew how to dance though and the whole night was especially pleasant today. It was summer after all.  She was just about to get her second drink, standing in a queue like a good citizen, it took her a while to get to the bartender and while normally she would be annoyed, she was humming a song to herself, slowly shaking her hips, laughing with a man who was checking her out, gosh he was cute. She was already making plans on how to approach him, flirt a little, have a bit of fun when she heard a female voice saying something. She waiting for a bit, not sure whether the question addressed to her or perhaps it was simply rhetorical? But no one seemed to reply and upon turning her face, she was sure it was her turn to say something witty. ‘That would be lovely. They`d make a lovely couple. Perhaps even a little trio, what do you think? Like only men could dream.’ She winked.

open starter.
In her defense, she didn’t want to go on the date in the first place. Her mother had thought it a good idea to set her up with the son of one of their “close friends”, a lawyer that liked talking about himself and looking at their servers ass when he thought she wouldn’t notice. Or maybe he knew, she didn’t know. But after the third conversation about his thrilling new client and a downright misogynistic comment about taking her back to his place, Lott was excusing herself to the bathroom.
Her plan was simple, lay low and pray he didn’t see her sneaking out. She was almost at the exit, her freedom in sight when she accidentally bumped into someone. She probably made a strange sight, crouched low and obviously trying not to be seen, but she simply smiled sheepishly at the person. “Uh, this is definitely not what it looks like.” She winced and stood up straight, rubbing the back of her neck. “Actually, I’m not even sure what this looks like, but could you, maybe, forget that you ever saw me?”

So, it's me, Tay with my second babe! Pieta Mercado, which is pronounced as pee-it-ah but American's tend to pronounce it like the male Peter. She's my arrogant, feisty little babe and I'm open to any and all plots for her! So come hit ya girl up.
( Lana Parrilla, Female, She/Her. ) ♛ Isn’t that Pieta Mercado? The 42 year old Heiress and Socialite is unmistakable. She has a reputation for being carefree and hedonistic, but also impulsive and fiery. There’s a reason they call her the Spitfire of the jet set, after all.
Tumblr media
Pieta Mercado was born on the 30th of October, 1976 in New York City, New York. She was born the eldest daughter of Mateo and Lucia Mercado (nee; Bianchi); with three other siblings, an older brother, younger brother and younger sister. The Mercado family are in the business of manufacturing pharmaceuticals in Puerto Rico.
However, that's just on her father's side. Her mother, Lucia comes from a wealthy Italian family that made their money in clothes. While the Bianchi's weren't big in the States, they were well known and popular within Europe.
Growing up however, Pieta was the apple of her father's eye, even if he was harder and worked her older brother harder. Her teenage years were filled with rebellion and acting out and she was undoubtedly the wild child of the Mercado children. Her academic record wasn't great but considering she was going to inherit from both sides of her family, she didn't put much stock into her education. Even still, she ended up in college, studying at UC Berkeley, barely graduating with a degree in communications.
Since graduating at 22, Pieta's worked at magazines and media companies and everything in between. Unfortunately however, Pieta never could keep a job for too long and spent several long years travelling around the world. At 28, she met a man and fell in love; within months they were married but it was a tumultuous relationship and they divorced after 4 years. But Pieta still believes he's the love of her life.
Pieta's life changed once again seven years ago when she fell pregnant to a man in Europe and it finally made her come home. She settled in New York once again, around her family and had her daughter Marielle Luciana Roche-Mercado. Having her daughter settled her down a little and it helped that she's ended up working for her family's company. It's been seven years now and it's the longest Pieta's stayed in one place but her daughter love's New York and Pieta would never want to take her away from the only home she knows.
Unfortunately, she hasn't settled a much as her family would like, even with a now 6 year old daughter. She's been having a rather public affair a high profile married man, that's ended only recently.
