Hi birblr! I haven't been around much lately because I've been busy. Today I'm a little concerned though. About a week ago, pico somewhat abruptly got this darker coloring on his beak. I just took those first two photos, and the third one is from 3 days ago. He's been acting perfectly fine, eating his food and being his chattery self as usual. I reaearched it a bit and not much came up. I know its not a stain, and I worry it's something serious. Can anyone help me out? Has anyone seen this before?

Also! Pico is doing very well. He hasn't molted yet but he has gained some color on his face and butt! He's also moody and clingy but I understand it given that during the school year I had very little time to spend with him. But he's a sweetheart and we're working on some neat tricks :)

Pico took a bath in his water bowl and suddenly he was a camera shy chicken!

I was trying to get a video of pico doing a weird thing to ask what it was but of course he wanted to see my phone instead. He was opening his beak and his neck would expand and relax back and forth, you can see a flash right before he leaps for the camera there. Anybody know?
