I'm Quinn Fabray, I'm twenty years old and I'm orignally from New Jersey but I've been living in New York City since I was eighteen years old. I'm attending the great NYU as a photography major, and I'm also working in a photography studio which is great experience. You may or may not know this but I am in fact engaged to the one and only Sam Evans. He's amazing, and although we've been through a lot of tough times, he's always been there for me, no matter what. We're making it work, and living together in our apartment makes it easier to see one another when we're busy too. I think that should be enough to tide you over when it comes to telling you about my life, but should you want to find out more, you can always visit my ask box right over here.

Quinn knew that planning a wedding wouldn’t be Sam’s idea of fun necessarily, but she thought that it might be a good chance to be able to have a chat about some of the ideas that they might have had, or even to try and get some inspiration for it. She and Sam hadn’t exactly had a lot of time for themselves recently, and she felt like maybe if they spent some time talking about the wedding, they might be able to get some of that closeness back for the afternoon. Bringing food back for him was one of the ways she was going to convince him that maybe this was a good way to spend the afternoon.
“Well I’m not entirely sure if people do use them… Maybe they don’t, but I got a little excited on the way to getting the bagels, and I saw them on the news stand… I couldn’t help myself!” She said with a laugh, knowing that sometimes she was a sucker for these kinds of things. She might have been distracted by the different things there were to organise. This was the only wedding that she was planning on having, and she wanted to make sure that it was 100% perfect for both her and Sam. She wasn’t one of those brides that thought it was only about her, it was going to be perfect for the both of them.
She leaned herself into Sam as they got themselves comfortable on the couch, resting her feet up to put the magazine in her lap. “Well, all we really agreed on was the fact that we wanted to have the wedding in Tennessee, right? So that we can be close to your family?” She asked, making sure that this was still the idea that Sam wanted to go through with. “So we can’t really choose a place for it since we’re not there. But we can still look at the other parts to it. Like cakes.” She grinned, flicking through the magazine to where the cakes had been photographed. “Some of these are… really fancy.”

Quinn knew what Jesse was like, and as much as it was tempting for her to go to the diner where he worked and be the most annoying customer ever, she wouldn’t put Rachel through the suffering of dealing with the ranting afterwards. “I won’t I promise. Although I will go down and try out the diner, I just won’t make life too hard for him while I’m there.” She nodded. Sam liked those kinds of restaurants too, so she’d make sure that the two of them went down there together, to see her friend – even if he and Sam didn’t have the best kind of relationship.
“I haven’t yet, no, but I’ll be doing it soon. I want to make sure those kinds of things are in place before I actually start planning the wedding, you know?” She said with a shrug of her shoulders. She knew that she shouldn’t be, but she was actually quite nervous about asking Sebastian. “I hope so, I don’t want to ask too much of him though. Although their wedding was absolutely beautiful.” She grinned, recalling the memories. She was glad that Rachel was there on her side for the whole of the wedding planning, since she knew that Rachel had the kind of attention to detail that she’d need some help with. Taking the glass from the brunette, she nodded a little. “Well I mean, Sam would like to get married in Tennessee, so I don’t think we’ll do anything overly fancy. I’ve always loved autumn kind of colours, but it needs to be something that will work with all of the wedding. I don’t want to be one of those brides that puts her bridesmaids in ugly colours just because she can, you know?” She’d thought about a few bits and pieces, but with nothing too set in stone it was somewhat hard to work out. “I’m definitely going to need you by my side though, especially during the dress shopping – you need to tell me when I look awful, and I trust you to be able to do that.”

All Rachel could do was laugh in response, because it wasn’t as though they’d never spoke about this kind of thing before, and Rachel had heard more than she’d ever wanted to know about Sam and Quinn’s relationship when she’d lived with her friend. “God, please don’t wind him up, I’ll never hear the end of it,” Rachel grinned, she could only imagine what it would be like if Quinn turned up at the cafe and made things even worse for her boyfriend. He’d complain for hours and it was hard enough to get him to listen now.
“Well, I suppose that makes sense then, have you asked him yet?” She wondered, “I suppose he’ll be able to give you some tips at least, his wedding to Blaine was lovely, don’t you think? It was like they really worked hard to get it looking as amazing as it did,” She poured them both a glass, sitting back in her seat and crossing her legs as she turned to face her friend properly, “Well I mean, I can only be so organised, you’re going to have to give me something to work towards here,” he told her, taking a sip from her glass, “I mean, have you thought about a theme, or a colour scheme at least?” she asked, she’d never planned a wedding of her own, but she knew that it took a lot of planning, and it was always best to start these things early.

Quinn didn’t like that she was away from the apartment as much as she was, and she could feel herself drifting apart from Sam a little, and she wanted to get the closeness back, and she figured that there would be no better way for her to do that than to come home and talk about the wedding. They were both excited for it, and while they didn’t know for definite when it was going to be, there was no harm in them looking at some ideas and coming up with some of the things that they liked.
Hearing what Sam said about dreaming, she dropped her eyes a little, and felt bad about the whole thing. It hadn’t been that long, had it? She knew she’d been up early for the last few days... or well, weeks. Sam might argue months, but she still saw him. Perhaps not as much as she used to, however. She offered him a small smile as he apologised, but she could understand why he would say such a thing.
“No I know we haven’t set a date or anything, but I thought it might be nice to go through and think of some ideas about things. That way, when we’ve set a date we would know the kind of things that we might want, and it would make the planning way easier.” She said with a smile – weddings were stressful, and she wanted to make hers as stress free as she possibly could. “I brought a load of magazines and I thought we could just look through them together?” She asked, leaning her head towards his a little. “I brought your favourite bagels too, to try and convince you that this is a good idea.”

Although she and Sam’s wedding was a long time away, and they still hadn’t technically set a date for it yet, Quinn still wanted to get a few things put in place for the day. She’d already spoken to Rachel about it, and she’d thankfully agreed to be her Maid of Honour, something that Quinn knew she would definitely need. Rachel was organised, and if anyone was going to make sure that this wedding was going to be running as smoothly as possible, it was going to be Rachel. But there was something that had been on her mind for a little while, and even more so since she had been told that her father was coming to the wedding, and that was who was going to be walking her down the aisle. She certainly didn’t want her father doing that, he hadn’t earned that right. He hadn’t been there for her, he didn’t approve of Sam, and she barely spoke to him, apart from when he felt the need to turn up at her apartment whenever she felt like it. No, she knew almost right away that she wanted the person who was like a brother to her to be walking her down the aisle, and she was planning on asking him over their dinner together – so she was a little nervous about it, even though she knew that she had no reason to be.
Her face lit up in a smile as the door opened, and her arms instinctively wrapped around Sebastian in a hug. She’d not seen him for a while, and she had honestly missed him. She’d been so busy that she’d hardly even seem Sam in the past couple of weeks, let alone anyone else, and she knew that she had to make some time for everyone in her life, even if she was getting pulled into work far too often. “Hey, it’s been too long.” She smiled, stepping into the apartment. She let out a soft laugh as he spoke about the amount of take out that he and Blaine seemed to have been eating recently, and shook her head softly. “I really don’t mind not eating take out. Your cooking is always great anyway, so I’m sure it’ll be delicious.” She ran a hand through her hair as she spoke, knowing that Sebastian was a much better cook than she was, so even if he had just pulled something together, it would be better than anything that she would be able to produce by far, she was just looking forward to spending some time with her best friend.
“So how are things?” She asked, leaning her back against one of the kitchen counters, after having taken a peek at the food that Sebastian had rustled up for the two of them. She knew very well how stressful things could be at this time of the year, and she wanted to make sure that her friend was okay. There had been plenty of times when Quinn had become a complete shut-in and study gremlin, and without her friends she probably wouldn’t have even left her apartment. “How’s Blaine too? I feel like I haven’t seen him in so long, I haven’t seen you guys since your wedding – which was absolutely beautiful, by the way.” She grinned, recalling the fond memories from their wedding. She had spent most of the day in awe of everything, just pleased that she was able to spend such a special day with two of her closest friends, as cheesy as it sounded.

Quinn had been so busy recently, she felt like she had been absent from almost everything that had been going on around her recently. One of the things that she had felt especially bad about not spending as much time with Sam, especially because they hadn’t really spoken too much about their wedding since they had gotten engaged. She’d been side-tracked at work with the thoughts about the wedding, and she’d decided that she was finished for the day. Her boss was out for the afternoon, which meant that she wasn’t being ordered about all of the time, and so she felt that she deserved to have the afternoon to herself. She decided that she was going to stop by some stores on the way back to the apartment, and try to make it a nice afternoon for her and Sam.
She stopped by a magazine stand, and picked up as many of the different wedding magazines that she could find. She wanted to be able to take something back with her, so she stopped by the local bagel store and picked up his favourite bagels to take home. She hoped that he’d want to talk about the wedding as much as she did, and she couldn’t think of a nicer time.
Entering the apartment, Quinn looked for Sam. She could hear Freddie barking, as he always did when someone came through the front door, and followed the sound to find Sam. Seeing him napping, she leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. “I brought food.” She started with, figuring that it was a good place to start. She nudged him a little, and sighed. I know I left early, but I brought bagels and some magazines… I thought we could talk about the wedding a little?”
Let’s Talk About The Wedding || Fabrevans
Sam groaned quietly as Freddie jumped on his back and settled himself there, him and the dog had been pretty close recently, especially when they had to spend long days together now that Quinn had been most of the time at work. This day wasn’t any different, that’s why Sam was laying on the couch in the living room on his stomach, enjoying his afternoon nap. He didn’t have anything better to do anyways, there was nothing interesting on tv, and he didn’t really feel like thinking about college stuff or his internship application that he had sent out a few days before. He was afraid of their response, what if he wasn’t good enough to work at Marvel? They had rejected him before, and he didn’t know if he was able to get through that again. His grandma had once said that he wasn’t allowed to give up so he was still pursuing his dream, hoping that it would come true one day. Marvel would employ him one day.
He usually picked Quinn up from work every evening so that they would spend some time together, but it wasn’t really enough for Sam. He wished she would be there more often with him, on the other hand, he understood that she had to work hard in order to succeed. That’s why, he was quite surprised to hear the door opening way earlier that he had expected. It was definitely her unless someone was just trying to break into their apartment, but Sam was too lazy to get up and check. He would find out soon anyways. Letting out a yawn, the blonde rested his head on the pillow again, not really willing to interrupt his nap. He deserved some sleep, after all.

Quinn let out another laugh as Rachel winked at her, causing the blonde to shake her head. “Okay, I don’t need to know about the ways you get Jesse to shut up.” She chuckled. She hadn’t worked in the service industry herself, but knowing people who had gave her an insight into exactly what it was like, and it wasn’t necessarily the place where she would have thought Jesse would be working. “I think I’m going to have to go down there and see him, just to see this for myself.” She grinned. “I’m sure he’ll realise. Either that, or he’ll hate it and it’ll drive him to work even harder for his career. Kind of win-win either way.”
She was glad that Rachel seemed to understand about her father. Rachel had seen her father before, and had been there for the blonde when things had kicked off the past few times, so it wasn’t like she was just being selfish by not wanting him there. Quinn nodded her head as they talked about having Sebastian walk her down the aisle, and she shrugged her shoulders lightly. “He’s been like a brother to me ever since I got here, and I couldn’t really think of anyone else that I would rather have do it.” She explained, a small smile on her face. “It certainly is!” She grinned as she saw the champagne. “I know, I know… but now that I have my Maid of Honour, things are surely to be easier, right? I mean, if anyone is gonna get this wedding on its feet, it’s going to be Rachel Berry.”

photographer-quinn:
Rachel laughed, tucking a piece a hair behind her ear, “It’s not so bad, I have my ways of shutting him up,” she laughed, giving her friend a knowing little wink, because it definitely worked like magic on Jesse, on more than one occasion. “Yep, I’ve told him all of that, as has Mike who of course works in the same industry, I think it will take him some time to finally realise that it’s not the end of the world though,” she shrugged, not really bothered by it though, because it was those qualities that made Jesse, well, Jesse. He wouldn’t be the same if he didn’t make a mountain out of a molehill all of the time, that was why she loved him. They seemed to balance each other out perfectly.
Conversation turned to Quinn and her wedding, and Rachel sat by and listened intently. She could understand why Quinn didn’t want her father there, even though he was the only family that she had left, it wasn’t really her place to argue with that though. “Sebastian?” She repeated, “Well that’s…different,” she said slowly, nodding her head in agreement, “But I mean, if it feels right to you, then why not?” she added quickly with a smile. Her expression soon doubled in size though, when Quinn asked her to be her maid of honour, something that Rachel hadn’t even thought about yet. She agreed quickly, disappearing into the kitchen and coming back with a bottle of champagne, “Well, if this isn’t a special occasion, then I don’t know what is,” she laughed, pouring them both a glass, “Surely you need to actually set a date first?” Rachel teased.

Questions || Sequinn
Quinn had been thinking a lot about things that she was going to have to do for the wedding. They didn’t plan on getting married until at least next year, but that didn’t stop her from thinking about some of the logistics of the event. She knew for a fact that she didn’t want her father there, but considering Sam had already invited him, she couldn’t exactly get out of the fact that he was going to be there. She could control how much he was involved in the wedding though, and one of the things that she was sure of was that she didn’t want him to be the one to walk her down the aisle. She’d been thinking long and hard about it all. She’d already asked Rachel to be her maid of honour, and the girl seemed to be as excited as Quinn was about the prospect. She still had her bridesmaids to sort out, but she had plenty of time to do that.
The blonde had a question to ask Sebastian, and she had to admit that she was a little more nervous about it than she thought she would be. He was like a brother to her, so it only made sense that she ask him, out of everyone, to walk her down the aisle, but there was still every chance that he would say no. She really hoped that he wouldn’t, since he was kind of the only person that she had thought about asking to walk her down the aisle, but that didn’t stop her from feeling nervous all the same. She’d already made plans to have take-out food with Sebastian at his and Blaine’s new apartment, so checking the address quickly on her phone as she walked; she headed in the right direction.
Bouncing on her toes, Quinn made her way up the stairs of the unfamiliar building, adjusting her bag on her shoulder. Her eyes scanned the doors until she reached the right number, her knuckles knocking lightly on the right door.

Quinn shook her head, not surprised in the slightest that Jesse seemed to vent about every single customer when he got in from work, and let out a slight laugh. She couldn’t really imagine Jesse working in the service industry if she was honest, but she had to admit that she was quite impressed that he was sticking with it and making the effort to work. “Oh dear, I bet that’s a barrel of laughs for you after every shift.” She chuckled lightly, pleased that at least she didn’t have to deal with those sorts of rundowns when Sam came in from work. “Have you told him that it’s a perfectly normal job to do and that plenty of people do it without complaining!?” She asked with a grin, before shaking her head. This was Jesse, of course he didn’t realise this.
She knew that talking about her wedding in the way that she was was coming out a little cheesy, but she couldn’t really help it. Sometimes things were cheesy no matter what, but it wasn’t like she was planning on having doves and all the cheesy things you saw on the television from time to time. She just wanted a simple wedding, with her close friends and Sam’s family. She ran a hand through her hair as she spoke about her father, and wasn’t all that surprised about her asking about who would be walking her down the aisle at the wedding. “I’ve been thinking about it a lot actually, and I think I’m going to ask Sebastian to do it. He’s like a brother to me, he’s been there for me through everything, and I’ve known him almost as long as I’ve known you and Sam.” She said with a small smile, hoping to get Rachel’s approval of her choice. Her smile stayed on her face as she watched Rachel, hoping that the brunette would agree to be her maid of honour. “Of course I do, Rach!” She grinned, squeezing the girl back. “I’m sure Jesse won’t mind if we open it, you can always open another when he gets in. We definitely need to celebrate.” She said, watching the girl with the bottle. “I mean there’s not a lot of tasks for you at the moment, but I’m sure when the date gets closer it’ll be all hands on deck.”
Tea and a good old fashioned, catch up || Faberry
photographer-quinn:
Rachel rolled her eyes at that, though she didn’t dignify it with a response, she was allowed to take some time out of the spotlight, and she thought that she’d had enough going on to last her a lifetime, having a quiet summer seemed like a good plan to her. But then luckily, conversation moved onto Jesse and his new ‘career’ and Rachel couldn’t help smiling, she knew it was amusing for most, but she was definitely proud of her boyfriend for taking such a huge step. “It’s more like a rundown of every customer encounter,” Rachel explained with a little grin, “Unfortunately working in the service industry doesn’t come naturally to him, he tries though,” she added with a little nod, because she knew that when all was said and done, he was trying, even if it didn’t always look that way.
She laughed, not really able to help herself as Quinn spoke about the engagement, now she was happy for her, she really was, but even she had to admit that it was a little cheesy some of the things she was coming out with, but she was glad that Quinn could see the funny side of it as well. “Maybe a little, but so long as you’re both happy, then that’s all that matters,” she shrugged, arching an eyebrow as conversation swiftly turned to her father and what had happened between him and Sam. Rachel couldn’t have predicted it going any other way to be honest, but she supposed Sam had a good reason for doing what he had. “Really? Who’s going to walk you down the aisle?” she asked, curiosity getting the better of her, trying to think about the people in her friend’s life, wondering whether she’d accidentally forgotten someone. She leaned back in her seat as they continued to talk all things wedding, when Quinn suddenly came up with something that stunned her completely. “Really? You want me?” she asked, eyes widening in surprise, as her smile practically doubled in size, “Oh my god, of course I’m up to the task!” she shrieked, pulling Quinn into a tight embrace, giving her a little squeeze, “This calls for a celebration!” she announced, pulling away from her friend and running back into the kitchen and picking up a bottle of wine and two glasses before rushing back through to her friend, “I was saving this for when Jesse got home, but I think this would be a better use, what do you say?”

Quinn couldn’t help but smile as Sam complimented her, it was nice to hear about, even if it was things that he’d said to her a lot of times before. It made her feel special, and she knew that she was lucky to have a guy like him to be her fiancé, and one day her husband. Being at the wedding had her thinking about her and Sam’s wedding, and their future together, and she couldn’t help that her mind was wandering to all kinds of thoughts about their future together.
She hadn’t known that Tina and Mike had been an item, but she didn’t know the two of them as well as some of her other friends did. She had to admit, she was pleased for them though. She couldn’t see herself getting pregnant at this age, not before she graduated, but that was their choice and if they were happy with what they were doing, then she would be happy for them. Besides, they looked like they were getting on well together and seemed really happy, and who was she to stop them from being happy? “You guys look great together, you really do. And if there’s anything that we can do to help, just give us a shout, okay? Even things you think are little or minor, just give us a call.” She smiled, wanting to do the best by them. Having a baby was tough after all. “Sure, that always sounds like a good idea. You can’t be missing out on the ceremony when you’re a part of it.” She smiled, and gestured Mike and Tina to go in. It was the polite thing to do, after all. “After you.”

While life was busy for the both of them, it always seemed like she was the one that was being pulled away by everything. Some days, all she wanted to do was stay at home with Sam and just do some normal engaged-couple things, but unfortunately she was called all over the city to take pictures for a guy who was so well respected in the community she worked in, that she couldn’t say no. She felt awful every time that she had to leave, but she didn’t have the guts to try and stand up to the guy, when he had the power to make or break her career.
She did enjoy his impressions, and it was always something that she enjoyed seeing him do, since it was something that he loved doing. There was something about the little twinkle in his eye that made her grin even more every time that he came to her with a new impression or a new idea for one. “They’ll be perfect, I know it.” She smiled, having been with him for years, she knew that he had impressions down to somewhat of an art. “Or you could just be Sam, since that’s the person I love.” She grinned, before leaning up to press a kiss to his cheek. She’d much rather spend the evening with Sam than anyone else.
They’d made their case, and really she was entitled to a break, especially since she had worked pretty much non-stop for the whole morning. She wanted to be the best in the studio, but she wasn’t going to starve herself in order to get there, that just wasn’t the way that things were going to work for her. “I’ll be back.” She grinned, giving up with talking to him. She was going to lunch with her boyfriend, and that was that. She led Sam out of the door, leaving her boss behind her.

Quinn knew from having lived with Rachel for a long time, albeit a while ago, that Rachel was always on the go and had a lot going on. She was the same, always doing something or having something on the cards that she needed to do or get sorted, but that was the life that she was adjusted to after having lived in the city for almost three years. “Wow, Rachel Berry not in the spot light. Have I walked into some alternative universe?” She asked with a grin, only teasing her friend of course. She made herself more comfortable in her seat, as she always did, and couldn’t help but smile as they talked about Jesse and the job he’d managed to get himself. She honestly couldn’t imagine Jesse working in a café, the image in her mind of it just seemed…wrong. “I can imagine you get a rundown of every table, of every order, and every single thing that he does during a shift, right?” She said with a laugh, shaking her head a little as she did.
She liked talking about her engagement, and although they were taking their time with the planning, she still got excited every time they came to some kind of decision about their plans. It wasn’t for at least a year, but she was looking forward to it all the same. She licked her lips as she thought about Rachel’s question. “The city is my home, so it was my first choice, but if I’m being completely honest? I don’t really care where we get married, as long as I marry Sam.” She said with a smile. “That makes me sound really corny, doesn’t it?” She laughed. As long as Sam was at the end of that aisle, she didn’t mind whether it was in the city or in Tennessee. “Didn’t it just? I didn’t want my father at my wedding, I have decided who I want to walk me down the aisle instead, and now my father is going to be there.” She sighed. She could see why Sam had done what he had done, but she still would have liked a heads up to start with. “You better be there, because I uh… I kind of want you to be my Maid of Honour. If you’re up to the task?”

Rachel laughed when Quinn reminded her that she usually had a lot going on in her life, which admittedly was true, but even so, it never hurt to take a step back from things and just breathe. Besides, she knew as soon as she went back to school it would be non-stop full her, so she wanted to make the most of what time she had left on her own. “I know, I know,” Rachel laughed, shaking her head at her friend, “I’m just taking some time off, letting someone else have the spotlight for once,” She reached up, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, as she leaned back in her seat, making herself a little more comfortable. But then conversation switched to Jesse, and Rachel couldn’t stop herself from laughing. She was proud of Jesse, she really was, but it was amusing to watch him try and cope with this, a part of her couldn’t wait to see what he’d be like once he had to start juggling work with school as well, it was either going to go well, or very wrong, only time would tell. “He’s got himself a job at the cafe at the end of the block, it’s not difficult work, the same as what I do really, but well…” She paused, glancing at her friend and letting out a laugh, “You know how Jesse is,”
She leaned back slightly, nodding as she listened to Quinn talk about the engagement, and of course the wedding that would follow, and she had to admit she was curious to what they had in mind. But, she came away feeling a little disappointed to find out that they hadn’t really agreed on anything yet. “Oh that’s nice, you didn’t want to get married in the city?” She enquired, more out of curiosity than anything else, but she hadn’t been to Tennessee before, so she couldn’t really comment. Her eyes widened a little when Quinn told her what Sam had done, not entirely surprised, but then not able to believe it at the same time. “Well, I bet that went down like a ton of bricks,” she half laughed, nodding when Quinn continued, “Well, don’t worry, Jesse and I will be there, you don’t have to worry about that,”
