Costumed Killers

Like i said before, the grey spots locations in Vanny's costume (mostly) match her injuries: It starts out as a pure white bunny and the grey marks get added over time as she gets hurt from her antics (most of which do happen while she's wearing it, so she'd have to patch up the costume).

I also made a slightly more messed version of her suit to make it line up better with Jacktrap and Davetrap.

In-universe explanation is that this is for the evil route, where Vanessa becomes evil and actually starts killing people (she, at most, gets those in vicinity accidentally injured while she's messing around in the other routes) and at least some of them tried to fight back and managed to hurt her.

Since she's a immortal zombie and they didn't know about her weakness (can only die if her brain is fully destroyed, shrugs off almost everything else) it just made her look even more bruised up.

Someone suggested on Reddit that my version of Vanny die by the scooper, and i really like that idea!

(Her lore is also better compiled here, but to give you an idea):

My version of Vanny was born in the early-60's, so she's younger than Jack and Dave but slightly older than Dee. She dies in the early-80's so Henry was still around by this point (quess who's responsible for it).

Anyways, she died because she was unfortunately working at a location while Henry was conducting experiments on immortality (to see if there was a non-soul related way to do it) there, and he did need a few lab rats to test...

She was the only one who "semi-sucessfully" lived through it, but he couldn't replicate this and it was a lot more complicated and unreliable than simply stuffing people into the robots, so he goes back to his usual research since it brought more positive results.

Afterall, why would you keep trying the same thing that only worked out once when there's a easier, more likely to suceed alternative to achieve your goals? He abandons these different experiments entirely.

Vanessa is also TOO unstable for Henry to manipulate (mostly because of her childish habits and messed up mental state; she also lost almost all of her memories before her death), he notices that keeping her around was too risky (she could fool his goals since he didn't have full control over her) and research on her wasn't going anywhere, so he just ditches her and continues on as normal (Van can't recall what happened so she goes on to do her own thingy, posing no threat to him anymore).

Something interesting is that if we go off Vanny being another one of Henry's test subjects then this means that she most certainly interacted with Dave at some point, this isn't really relevant as they both forget about it (Dogman said that Dave did hang out with alive Jack pre-dsaf 1, but he forgot most of it. i'd imagine this would be the same) but it can lead to both going "hey don't i know you from somewhere?" when they reencounter.

Also the scooper fits in PERFECTLY, it's a clunky, unnecesarily convoluted murder machine that can also make a person immortal. Obviously, Henry stops using it when it fails to meet expectations.

Later on, when Dave builds the Fazbunker, he either takes it or creates a replica of it (not even for it's fuctionality, solely for Henry memoriabilia).

Thus, the scooper (maybe a more primitive, crankier version) predates the Fazbunker and the SL animatronics.

She died because her face was ripped off on the incident that made her like a zombie (that was the only injury from it by the way). Simply, i can just say that it scooped her face instead of her vital organs.

it feels so scary because i have no idea how the others are gonna react so my own mind thinks they'd go "Tf you doing here blud you weren't invited" and then they all start throwing bricks at me

My worst crime here is probably being mildly annoying or maybe unintentionally making someone uncomfortable 🥀😭 why does my brain believe that's enough for everyone to ostracize me😭😭😭

What happens with Good! Vanny after Dsaf 2's Perfect Ending and during the 30 years time gap beetween 2 and 3?

Now that her mind is in the right place and since she can't live a normal life anymore because she's a zombie, i think Vanny would stick around Fazbender's and try to prevent tragedies in different locations - on her own unique, questionable and somewhat idiotic way.

By that, i mean that Vanessa would try to sabotage anything dangerous or suspicious (could be one of Dave's plans, could be a robot going rogue or could be a never-seen-before issue/troublemaker) and set up traps to either catch or, if necessary, cripple the threat (no outright killing though).

She'd usually try to side with the phone guy/gal of the location but if they're rude/screwing her over she'd ignore them back and could even make them one of her targets (like Dave, she doesn't know about the phone's backstories so no hard feelings towards them)

This leaves a lot to imagination (fanfic/fangame worthy tbh), and it could happen at any Freddy's that is still open post-1987. You don't even need Jack or Dave to be there.

Now, if you want her to appear in the Flipside, she has to die at some point - which is very plausible, afterall she's still so reckless that she could vitimize herself in one of her antics (i'm adamant in calling those 'traps' because i don't want anyone to get any funny ideas; She's already super Dave adjacent and creating like Vannytrap or something REALLY doesn't help). Maybe one of her plans fails and that gets her killed (she can still die if her brain is fully destroyed).

Plopping Van in the Flipside forces you to rework many scenes to make her fit in by giving her some dialogue and interactions with the others (which is pretty fun to think about actually!)

Obviously, you're gonna have her in the Henry fight, but before that, like everyone else add a scene where she fully recalls her incident (spoiler: Henry is behind it too), maybe a flashback that shows how it played out (like the one Steven had).

This is necessary contextualization because it gives her a reason to fight against Henry and material for a Honesty speech (i'd put it after Blackjack and the phones but before the Dee one).

Without it she has virtually no ties to him (thus he wouldn't have anything to call her out on).

Reblogging this just to add more; Here's her design progression (last one, i promise)

Finally, if you care, i'm updating her lore a little bit (all of it is compiled under the #oc lore tag in my profile): Now, she turns green instead of pink (obviously) but more notably the second incident she goes through fully destroys her left glowing white pupil (i like to think she can make her right one goe to the left eyehole).

I'm also removing the whole "skull caved in" from her first incident as that was edgy as hell and unnecessary; She still loses her face but when she passes out and falls unconcious from the pain she hits her head on the floor hard enough to give her brain damage.

The reason i'm leaning more towards zombie Van instead of cryptid Van is because she's, by concept, Dave 2. Seriously, when you stop to think about most fanon takes these two are almost interchangeable in many occasions. Because of this, i'm leaning more on making the situations she goes through be reminiscent of Jack, except she acts closer to Dave.

I want her to simultaneously be similar to the kiddie stranglers while also having her own unique traits that stand out; Basically a middle ground between the two.

(Btw if you see stitched Vanessa with two eyes that's a leftover from before her redesign)

Redesigning my version of Vanny; She's green now and changed both her badge and bow a little bit

I still like her current details and stuff so i'll keep most of them, it's just that i prefer the green over pink; It's also a adjacent color to purple and orange, representing how she parallels Jack and Dave in several aspects.

There's a LOT more that i still have to do for her (i only redesigned her sprite so far; No idea how her stitched form is going to turn out yet) but for now i'm starting with simple changes (i may still use pink Vanessa sometimes).
