Are the “Secret of My Heart” special stories worth reading? They’re rather pricey and the special items you get are kinda worthless. Does anybody have an idea of how long the stories are?

More Spoilers! Sorry I just like to ramble cause no one talks to me about Ikemen Sengoku

I was so upset that Yuki and Sasuke didn’t have a bromance going on in Yuki��s route 😢 I thought the love triangle was much better done in Sasuke’s route. Perhaps the best love triangle in the game so far. With Yuki, it seemed like Sasuke having feelings for her came out of nowhere. Sasuke is only emotionless in his own route so the love triangle seemed half-assed in Yuki’s route. In Sasuke’s route, you get to see Yuki fall in love with MC too, which makes it all the more sad knowing you have to break his heart. 

Mitsuhide’s route was pretty good. And I say this as someone who is not a huge fan of Mitsuhide (I am going to get stabbed lmao). The second newest one was Sasuke’s route, but it definitely was not as good as Mitsuhide’s. I wanted to slap Sasuke’s mc tbh. She yelled at him for not being more emotional about having to leave their warlord friends behind as if she didn’t just ditch her friends and family for people she met less than three months ago. 

I like that Kennyo is not the big bad in the newer routes, but it seemed like the developers were thinking this:

Developers: Kennyo is the big bad schemer! The final boss!

Kennyo: -gets fans- 

Developers: We need a new big bad! Motonari! We choose you!  

Motonari: -gets more fans than Kennyo in a shorter time-

Developers: We need a new big bad! Make him as unattractive and douchey as possible so no one will fall in love with him! Yoshiaki! Don’t mess this up! 

It’s good to see the newer routes diverge from the plot lines of the old ones, but it also takes away from the development of that game’s world. If it seems like they are in a different universe in every route, it might as well be a different game.  

My favorite route was Shingen’s though. I love the doom and gloom because it made their happy ending feel that much more deserved. I like that mc and Yuki get together sooner too! Like...we all know you guys are going to fall in love so just do it already! The game developers tend to kick him to the curb :/ He was one of their OGs and he barely gets any new content. 

The reason why Yukimura is the best ikesen route ;)

I just want to write about why Yukimura is my favorite warlord and route.

The chemistry between him and MC is just too good! Firstly, in the prologue she is stricken by how handsome he is (there are some other characters where their striking looks are constantly referred to throughout the different routes, for example Kenshin, Mitsunari, Yoshimoto, Ranmaru) and Yuki is included in this list.

Secondly, I feel in their route they progress the fastest, there is an immediate spark, but of course it is turbulent when he and MC find out they are on opposing sides. It starts off so romantically, like a first love, guy next door. It is so natural. They hit it off, they start seeing each other (I’m getting the feels just thinking about it gaaaaah). They ‘bump into’ each other, he invites her to a firework festival, they share their first kiss together (again, the feels 😂). It is just too cute.

His personality is just too cute. Sasuke, Shingen, and MC tease him about this! Yes, he is a little bit gruff, but he is really sweet. The banter, the chemistry, passion, sense of humor, is on point. Like I said, so natural. Aside from MC, his relationships with Shingen and Sasuke are so nice and sweet to see. One man is someone he looks up to, is inspired by, respects with his whole being, the other is simply his bestie BFF. ❤️ (Considering my favorite characters, I think I have a thing for tsunderes.)

That is a little bit about why he is my favorite. I have played his route 4 times - I really do want to play it again and even then, I may write more about him! 😂. I really do hope they add an eternal route for him soon, his route was one of the first original three! (Nobunaga, Masamune, Yuki).

Spoilers!

Yukimura is my favorite warlord but I personally felt his route was one of the weaker ones. We don’t get to see him interact with Shingen or Sasuke very much. I don’t think he and Sasuke were close in his route either. And don’t get me started on the ooc of him leaving her in the woods 😤

He stole the show in Sasuke’s arc, though. Especially the romantic route. He conveniently had three horses ready when Sasuke and Mc were on the run from the Oda forces, so he was definitely prepared to fight for both of them. And he blocks Kenshin’s sword for Sasuke. He doesn’t know Ranmaru, but trusts him once he learns his best friends are in danger. He even rode through the night without rest to rescue them. 

He also tells mc to save all her hugs for Sasuke even though he loved her too. 

I absolutely love his relationship with Shingen. He knows Shingen won’t live much longer, but sticks with him through thick and thin. He’s always at his lord’s side whenever he’s in trouble. Shingen mentions Yuki stopped him from continuing to battle the first time his illness flared up, and Yukimura saves Shingen’s life in Shingen’s dramatic arc.

Seeing Yuki interact with the Uesugi-Takeda forces in Sasuke and Shingen’s arc makes me feel cheated that we didn’t get to see any of it in his arc. We got a brief glimpse of Shingen, but all they did was look at each other with trust. 

They could have done more with his route, and it would have been nice to see him fight for his desire to go home. He has so much more to him, and his route only showed us a fraction of his character. If it were up to me, I would have them find out they are enemies much sooner. He is forced to take her with him to Kasugayama because she was too far from sanctuary and he did not want to leave her stranded. This way, we can see him interact with characters besides mc. 

For his dramatic route, instead of mc reading something in the magazine, I would have loved it if the situation seemed hopeless and Yuki didn’t believe they could win. So he asks Sasuke to take her to the temple and send her home. MC goes home, but Sasuke stays behind to save his BFF. They succeed in beating Kennyo, but MC has gone home and both sides agree to a ceasefire. MC is under the impression she can never see Yukimura again and wants to know what happened to him, so she does some research on him. She comes across records of a letter, and realizes he had written it for her to discover in her timeline. The letter expresses his love, and ends with see you on (date the wormhole would open again). The date has left historians puzzled for years, but she knows what it means and the lovers reunite.  

I let my imagination get carried away sometimes. I can’t wait for his eternal ending either! Hopefully it will let us see why he is called “The Last Sengoku Hero” or “Crimson Demon of War” or “The Number One Warrior of Japan”

My first time attempting to tier and it was expensive. You pretty much have to spend a good bit of money to have any hopes of tiering above top 1,000. I feel bad for the ones whose best boys are popular.

I couldn’t get any of the early clear bonuses which is a shame cause I would have loved to have his room as a theme.

The real prize was this home screen. It’s such a good picture of him❤️❤️

If there is an easier way to tier please tell me! I kinda feel bad about spending money on an otome boy

This may be just my opinion but

Yukimura deserved a better route.

My peeps I am struggling with Sasuke’s route. And it’s not even Sasuke himself that’s making me hate his route. I think he’s super adorable and would for sure be my first choice irl (astrophysics guy and not ninja dude lol). I’ll put my reasons below the cut to avoid spoilers. 

I already played through his route once and now I am going for the other ending, but this is kinda painful. I find myself tapping through most of the dialogue because it’s just so cringe 😣

Sasuke’s mc in my opinion is one of the weakest mcs in the game. She’s stewing over the Oda forces when they legit tried to kill her. Um...okay 🙄 And her speech to Sasuke when he said he can’t maintain relationships was so hypocritical. Girl you left all your friends and family in the present but you don’t seem to remember they even exist now that you’ve met hottie warlords. It’s not like she had bad relationships with them in any of the routes. She loved making clothes for her friends because it made them happy. How does she forget that? Especially compared to people who tried to kill her. 

Sasuke’s route is also the only route where it makes sense for them both to make the choice to go home. Especially since both characters are conscious of how they are affecting their own time periods. But in the dramatic route, they both choose to go back and Sasuke’s even talking about “inventing” a movie theater so they can still enjoy modernesque dates. 

I didn’t mind both of them staying in other character’s routes because they genuinely enjoyed the Sengoku period and were willing to sacrifice modern conveniences. That was not the case in Sasuke’s route since they both clearly liked the modern era and talked about missing the present. 

If it weren’t for the supporting cast (cough, Yuki, cough cough) I don’t think I would have tried to finish both routes.
