I’d like to think it’s because we don’t really know that much about her personal domestic life with her parents. I think she’s an overachiever because she has an incredibly narcissistic mom who expects nothing less than perfection and that has molded her to think like a competitor and a bully. 
Imagine how that affects her mentally. I have a feeling her teenage years were absolute hell because her mom definitely put a lot more pressure on her. And because Cindy doesn’t like to be seen as weak, she holds those feelings in. She is terrified that someone will see through her and judge her as harshly as her mother does.
I could literally talk Cindy Vortex headcanons and lore to anybody who will listen.
Currently confused as to why more ppl don’t like Cindy?? Like she's an over-achiever who feels she needs to be the best in LITERALLY everything.
Ppl are like obsessed w that archtype, maybe its bcs the fandom is so small?

Who and Grinch.
Whos are highly social. Grinches are more solitary, but can be acclimated to Who societies, especially if imprinted.
Whos enjoy an extensive culinary history, whereas Grinches remain disease-resistant scavengers into advancement.
