Heya! I've been super interested in auditioning but I've been hitting a wall with designing my character. I've made sure to read over everything but I'm a bit confused on designs for those in reefclan? I feel a bit silly asking questions but I dont want to send in an aud for a character that Is not valid- So I come bringing my handful of questions. Are there any restrictions to the designs of reef cats? Can they have fins/looks based on any underwater specie? Can they have fur or scales only?

Super glad you're interested in auditioning! In this post I'll be going into depth of Reefclan mutations.

Reefclan cats have fins or fish tails in replace me of their own. Compared to Duneclan scale plates, Reefclan have smooth and round scales. They however have more fur than Duneclan cats, but less compared to Caveclan. Some cats may have what's known as Coral Touch. Corals are living parasites that latch under the cats skin and take root, making it quite painful to remove.

Many Reef cats are based on fish. Your leader, Makostar, is based off of a white tip shark. This is interesting in retrospect as sharks don't really have scales, it's more like smooth skin (thus smooth skin or fur.)
