Steamed and bent these two long chests , one red cedar and one yellow cedar . My friend Bruce Alfred encouraged me to make a steamed and bent cradle rattle , I had a good look at one he had made now we will see how mine turn out ! Laid this 12 faced box out this morning ! Got it all prepped up for bending , had to leave my shop for an hour and 45 min I still got it steamed and bent . After a couple of tries , I got an hour shaped grease bowl half bent , you need lots of clamps and blocks cut to fill the spaces so the clamps can hold the bends in place .
