September of 1945. Her feet grazed the floor, lowering into the thin layer of sand until she eventually came to a complete halt. Her hands were sore and her arms were aching from carrying the weight of her body for so long. This time there were no cheers, no applause and nothing but eerie silence. But she was aware of that before she started her routine, after all this was just practice before the opening of the show later that night. She'd done this same thing many times for many years but these nerves never left her body. She'd just lifted herself back up onto the ring, thighs lowering onto the bar in a somewhat uncomfortable position. It was only then that she heard the quiet applause of a single pair of hands. Her head turned in confusion, curls bouncing off of her shoulders as she did. 'Who's there?'
