Is it normal for Espeons to somehow calm a crying baby?
Because my Espeon has gone up to my baby girl when she's crying and the next second...no more crying.
I'm not sure what to do about this and I'm a little concerned. I'm guessing Espeons physic powers have something to do with this but I'm not sure.
As someone who's been raising a psychic type for many years now, what you should do is sit down and have a conversation with your espeon. They may not have say particularly complex things, but they'll be able to tell what you mean just fine. (Especially a pure psychic-type like an espeon.)
Babies cry for a whole host of different reasons, and so it's possible that your espeon is just explaining to them that it's normal to feel a feeling in your stomach sometimes, or that doing a lot of stuff means you have to breathe more, or that you can move your body a little bit if the chair is uncomfortable. HOWEVER, if your espeon is actively *making* your baby stop crying, that is a behavior you need to address immediately. There have been a lot of studies on long-term early-life psychic manipulation and the results aren't pretty. Thankfully, like I said earlier, your espeon should be able to understand the problem and adjust.
Thanks for the question, and let me know if you want some more information!

So it's shedding season for my Togekiss, Clover, and I'm a little worried.
She always had a history of struggling with shedding in general to the point I've had to preen her feathers myself.
I've tried multiple methods like giving her baths, brushing her and even preening a few feathers myself to try and help her with shedding but not much has helped.
Any advice? I'm really concerned for her. I just want the best for Clover.
This is a problem that has a very simple-in-theory solution, though your ability to actually follow through with it may vary. There are two factors to be aware of here: emotional environment, and physiology. Togekiss are lovingly called "chronic empaths", which is to say that they have a form of passive emotional telepathy that keeps them in-tune with those around them. It's a social behavior they evolved to keep flocks in-line, but in the modern more chaotic world it can cause problems for them. If your neighbors are arguing, or a coworker is getting divorced, or if you yourself are just having a rough time, that takes a toll on your Togekiss. It's unfortunate but it's the reason that a lot of people just aren't right to raise them. Togekiss only moult (not shed, that's mammals) when they have energy to spare, which usually means times other than mating and nesting seasons. If Clover is in an environment with emotional turmoil, though, she might not be able to start moulting, which could make replacing feathers difficult even if all of her physical needs are met. My advice is to get Clover a checkup to make sure there are no physical problems (pokemon centers offer checkups for free but there's usually a long waiting list), and then take some time away from where you live to see if she improves. Also try to focus on your own emotional state - she gets the strongest readings from those closest to her! Thanks for your question, and I wish you and Clover all the best!

I've recently given birth to a baby boy and my Arcanine has been displaying behaviours I'm a little concerned about.
He's always in the baby's room whilst he's napping and always watching my baby around the house and I'm getting worried something might happen.
I'm not sure if my first time mom brain is doing this or it's something else.
congrats on the baby! this sounds perfectly normal :) big pupper's just keeping watch. no need to worry unless there's been actual hostility.

So my Gible had started to bite my other Pokémon, furniture, trees and me.
I'm not sure why, I think he's teething but he's only two months old. I'm worried that he'll chip a tooth or accidentally get into trouble with a wild Pokémon because of his biting.
Any advice?
This is totally natural! Even if he loses all of his teeth to a wooden stool, they'll grow back in a couple weeks. Even adult Garchomp lose and regrow teeth pretty regularly. Now, obviously biting other pokemon is an issue that does need to be dealt with. There are plenty of guides on obedience to be found online, but I'll leave you with some advice that I've found helpful: Negative reinforcement is only helpful in the moment; pokemon don't tend to learn by being told what not to do. Reward times when your gible is on good behavior, or is chewing on something good to chew like a toy or a fallen branch. (A couple kibbles of food or even some gentle headpats can be enough.) Also, I know most trainers don't like using leashes for their pokemon since they already have pokeballs, but it's genuinely a very helpful thing for teaching rowdier pokemon to behave. A good harness can sometimes be expensive or difficult to find, but it's definitely worth it in the long-term. I don't know where you're at, but here in Petalburg there's a local shop that sells harnesses meant to work for multiple stages in a pokemon's evolution line - usually at least the first two for a three-stage pokemon. Thanks for your question!

my torterra, gaia, usually rises early from her winter naps/hibernation, but she still hasn’t unburied herself yet- is this normal behavior or is something wrong? she’s only been a torterra for a year so maybe i just haven’t been able to see the variations in her behavior?
Ooo okay so this can be emblematic of something being wrong but it's entirely possible that everything is fine as well. I'd say go ahead and unbury her, but don't try and force her into much activity before her body is adjusted. Just let her get up and start moving on her own. Once she's unburied here's what to look out for:
Are the branches on her tree starting to bud? If yes, she's probably just sleeping in a bit.
Are the spikes on her side brittle or coming loose? if so, take her to a hospital immediately. That's a sign of a serious nutrient deficiency.
Does her underbelly have any open cuts or wounds? It should be reddened after being laid on the whole winter, but if it's showing injury then something probably got under her during the winter and she's staying under to let it heal. Soap and water would be good to clean any injuries out, followed by some bandages (pokemon centers should carry large and extra large sizes if you dont have them on hand).
Otherwise, if she shows any of the usual signs of unwellness (low energy, difficulty standing or walking, etc.) take her to a pokemon center and have them give her a checkup. Keep us up to date on how things go!

So, I just got my hands on a dracovish, he's called mr. Fish, how in the heck do I keep him from completely removing an entire population of the wild area? He's already done the half by motostoke. Fishious rend is too strong.
First of all, please make sure you are taking your dracovish into a pokemon center regularly to make sure they are okay. Dracovish (and its related misshapen messes) are the bulldogs of pokemon and NEED very frequent checkups to make sure they're healthy. Second of all... does its pokeball work? Like I don't mean to be snarky or anything but if you're a trainer letting a powerful pokemon attack whatever it wants without restraining it, there's a good chance you're actively committing a crime. I don't know what the specific laws where you live are, but most countries have pretty common sense laws for letting your pokemon cause mass environmental damage that come along with pretty serious fines or jail time. If your pokemon is getting out of control, nothing is stopping you from recalling it in the middle of a fight - even if it's against another trainer. You can just do that. In fact you *should* just do that no matter the circumstances if the pokemon is being problematic. Being a trainer isn't just about making your pokemon as strong as physically possible, it's about ***training***. That includes strength AND control. Seriously, I really hope I'm misinterpreting here but it genuinely sounds like you might be the problem, not Mr. Fish.

BIG LIFE UPDATE
hohkay hey gang, been a while. hasn't it? As I mentioned in my most recent post (3 months ago...) I've been going through a lot of life changes that have made keeping up with things difficult. To summarize without getting too deep into things:
My partner and I have separated
I live in a new place
I have had to rehome several of my pokémon
I got transferred to a different pokémon center in Petalburg
So uhhh yeah that's quite a lot! I'm not gonna go into a lot of it, but the first three are all related. Felicity [Ribombee] now lives with a coworker from my old pokémon center, Benny [Charcadet] lives and works at the Lavaridge Town Gym, (Shoutout Flannery - you're a G), and Ferrintio [Sprigatito] now lives with my parents over in Littleroot.
As for the pokémon I still have, things have changed a bit there too!
Robert successfully fused with another beldum, and is now a Metang! I guess they have the memories of both original beldum, but Robert is still the “lead”, whatever that means when two brains fuse. I might have a metagross some day. That’s insane to think about. I literally just exist and I guess I’m raising a pseudolegendary pokemon. (Two if you count pillow) ((I don't))
Pillow [goomy] continues to sleep for 19 hours a day, though he has started eating more and putting on some weight. He’s been at the age where evolution wouldn’t be out of the question for a while now, but as I’ve said before he’s much too eepy to actually develop the strength to do so. Anything's possible though -- maybe I’ll have a significantly larger pillow sometime in the future!
Pyra [combusken] and I had a little sparring match with a friend and we lost BAD, so she's gained new determination to finally evolve! She's been training with Robert while I'm working, and she keeps trying to get me to battle random strangers on the street while we're walking to/from the center lol. She's getting there!!!!!! I'm so proud of her!!!!!! oh god i might actually be able to battle at a higher level if all of my pokémon evolve wtf is happening--
Ragman [Mimikyu] has been sick for a couple of weeks now. Thankfully it's just a stubborn cold, but I've had to take his disguises off several times to check him for swelling/rashes. Mimikyu are pretty much biologically wired to be nervous around bigger creatures like humans and Gumshoos, so it's been a hurdle to get him comfortable with letting me take his disguise off, but we're finally getting there! It feels weird to say this about a Pokemon I've had for years, but it feels like we're really starting to form a close level of trust! Maybe once he's all healed up he'll even let me look at him in a well-lit, non-closet room lol (btw if you've never seen what an undisguised mimikyu looks like it's not at all what you'd expect)
Siri [Rotom/Phone] has become obsessed with the gamecube for some reason. I have very little else to say, she just REALLY enjoys that hardware for whatever reason. There have been a couple times where I've had to physically shake her out of it just so we could leave for work. She so silligoofy
And that's the updates post for you! Thanks for sticking with this blog for all this time! Since you managed to reach the end you get a special treat! I'm changing my name to May :) J as short for Josh is still fine. I'm also gonna change my pfp since it's inaccurate now that ive started transitioning. See you soon, pokefans!

Hi! I'm writing in because my smeargle, Goh, has been acting really odd. I've had him since he was an egg, and we've been great art buddies, but about a week ago he started tripping me up by plopping down right in front of me when I'm walking. Sometimes when I sit down he'll sit on my feet and glare at me. Is he upset with me or something?
ohhhhhh my god this is adorable okay okay okay okay SO
you ever seen a smeargle with a pawprint on their back? you ever see a juvenile smeargle and realize they dont have that pawprint? here's why: it's a social behavior. smeargle live in packs in the wild, and once they reach maturity they mark each others's backs as a sign of respect/connection. but the thing is that they don't have this instinct specifically for smeargle, it's for anyone they're pack bonded with. So little Goh here is probably trying to get you to mark its back!!!!
Here's what you can do:
1. give Goh a bath, with special attention to his back. (I'm sure you know this already, but make sure to cover the end of his tail with a plastic bag or plastic wrap so the "paint" doesn't leak everywhere)
2. wash the sole of your own foot well, but don't scrub it or do anything that might smooth out the texture.
3. take some of its "paint" and coat the bottom of your cleaned foot
4. once he rolls over, press your foot down gently enough to make full contact, but not so hard that you potentially injure him. hold this for at least a minute.
5. remove your foot, and use a hair dryer to make sure the "paint" dries fully. Once it's dry his body will actually start to change some pigmentation around and mimic the imprint, making it permanent.
6. Wash your foot really well. Like, REALLY well. You'll notice I've been putting "paint" in quotes like that. This is where I have to break the news to you. Smeargle "paint" is mostly pee. By volume I think it's literally 60% pee. It also has VERY strong stains and dyes mixed in, so get that stuff off as FAST as possible. If you don't get it all off before it fully dries you're gonna have a piss-stained foot for a couple months.
7. Don't give him any baths or let him in water until he starts scratching at his back. that's the sign that the process is finished and he's trying to get the paint off.
Hope everything goes well for you!!

How about Bisharp? They're my favorite mons of all time. ^^
oooo im not super familiar with bisharp, lemme check the literature to see if theres anything of note! Bisharp have a really interesting hierarchical structure, which is strangely similar to human-made ones! Kingambits will command several Bisharp that each command several Pawniard. generally no Bisharp will evolve into Kingambit before the Kingambit dies or is disgraced, but Pawniard will evolve into Bisharp once they're big enough no matter the existing number. This actually leads to regular population cycling, where Bisharp infighting lowers their numbers, then once things are steady they start to breed more so more Pawniard are produced, and then once the Pawniard start to evolve they begin infighting again, and this goes on and on over the course of roughly 2-3 years in the wild. Also sometimes Kingambits go to war over territory and it's one of the only time's you'll see a wild one actually getting up and doing some serious fighting. (Other than normal self-defense.)
Thanks for the ask!
