To say that Wild was surprised by the shade’s response surprised him would be an understatement! While he anticipated any snarky remarks, he honestly didn’t expect Gethin to accuse him of carrying germs. Yes it’s next to impossible to be squeaky clean but that didn’t mean he tried, Wild took pride in being hygienic and not a wild creature.

“But I wash every day though, and no doubt there’s such a thing as light germs. Sounds like a illness made up by a child if I’m honest”

He didn’t care if Wild had respect for him or was sorry for what he did to the shade. He wasn’t like that weak puppet, who forgave Wild for what he did to them. Because Gethin remembered. He remembered the pain and agony he felt when being thrown out. And he would let the Hero know how it felt like to not be accepted by something that was a part of you.”
