Haven't posted anything in a while, so here's this thing I wrote a few months ago for a 100-word challenge (slightly altered).
The time-turner felt smooth in his pocket as he ran a finger along it. Ninety-six thousand three hundred and sixty turns is what he'd need. Snape knew that. He'd always known, and he'd always counted, and so, he always knew precisely the amount he needed. But he shouldn't have needed to. Not now, not after all this time. Not after everything he'd done. Not after everything he'd learned. Not after everything he'd corrected. He looked up into emerald eyes tinged with sorrow, pain, and remorse. He didn't need to ask Lily why. He knew that, too. "Is it Potter?"
