Look. I have been a fan of this man for over 20 years. I have never, and I mean NEVER, let myself read fan fiction about him (smut or otherwise), only his characters, if that.

Definitely made me feel all high and mighty. Like, ‘Oh I don’t read fan fictions about the actor. I only read fan fictions about the characters because they aren’t real! I’m respecting the actor by not being gross!’

WELP. That ship has FUCKING SAILED.

For the past couple of months I’ve been watching nothing but Johnny Depp movies. Specifically PoTC1 and Secret Window on repeat. Thanks to 21 Jump Street (1987) I’ve been on a Tom Hanson kick. I found a lovely writer on tumblr, @fuck-i-burnt-the-tea (thank you I love your work), who writes fan fiction about Johnny Depp and two of his characters (Tom Hanson and Captain Jack Sparrow).

I thought ‘Well, reading just one about Johnny won’t hurt.’

Down the fucking rabbit hole I go and now I’m chained up at the bottom.

I’ve simped for this man for YEARS so don’t get me wrong, the brainrot is all well and good but I feel so scummy!

Is this rule for all actors? No. Only him.

Does that make me a hypocrite? Most likely.

Do I regret it? No, not particularly.

Do I still feel like garbage? Abso-fucking-lutely.

The door slammed shut and I heard Tom walking through the apartment. It was clear he didn't expect me to be home as he rummaged through the kitchen. I buried my head in the pillows and groaned. The door to the bedroom opened.

"Shit!" Tom cried. I lifted my head and stared at him. "Sorry. Just didn't expect you to be here." I nodded and laid back down. Tom came to sit next to me. "Did you even go to work today?"

"No." I said, voice muffled by the pillow. Tom ran his fingers through the back of my hair. "I'm in so much pain I feel sick."

"I'm sorry." Tom said. He leaned down to press a kiss to my head. "You should have told me. I would have stayed home with you." I rolled over and Tom ran the backs of his fingers over my cheek.

“You’d be bored today. I didn’t do anything today. Just been trying to sleep.” I mumbled.

“Any luck?” I shook my head. Tom sighed and crawled over me to lay down. “Come here.” He held his arms open for me. I crawled over to him and laid down on his chest. One of Tom’s hands wrapped around my shoulders and the other settled on my abdomen. His fingers slipped under my shirt, warm fingers pressing against me.

“Or maybe you could have done this all day.” I moaned. Tom chuckled as he tugged me closer. “Tommy I swear you have magic fingers.”

“alright alright.” He laughed. “Just don’t tell Doug. He’ll want me to do something.” I giggled.

“I don’t want to know.” I said, burying my face in his chest. “Did you finish the bust?”

“no.” Tom sighed. “A few more days. And then I’ll be out. I’m starting to hate that school.” I nodded against him. “The kids might actually be right about this one. The threats to the teacher…man if I’d had a teacher like him…”

“that bad?” I mumbled. Tom nodded before resting his chin on the top of my head.

“he went off on a tangent about how students are little shits and they should bring back corporal punishment. He picked up a desk. I’m pretty sure he was getting ready to throw it at a student.” Tom sighed. “The principal walked in. He dropped the desk. I jumped. Half the class jumped. We got let out to recess early.” Tom looked down and smiled when he noticed me passed out on his chest.

Nobody talks enough about how protective Tom Hanson would be of a partner after Amy's death.

If he was protective before, it's multiplied tenfold. Any slightest threat, and your suddenly somewhat reserved boyfriend is holding you tight to him.

He's never alert by sudden loud noises.. Unless you're with him.

"Tommy, it's just a firework." You tell him, playfully rolling your eyes.

"I know." He said, playing it off. "Just wanna hold my angel. Is that so bad?" He asked, pressing kisses to your temple.

"No.. But I know you better than that." You said, feeling the tense muscles on his arm. "You need to loosen up once in a while. Nothing's gonna happen to me." You reassured, running your nails along his skin.

"You never know." He replied nonchalantly, keeping his arm around you.

Yeah.. You wouldn't be getting him to budge anytime soon. But you were honestly happy to comply- it helped him, and you got extra attention and affection.
