Sam Hazeldine fans who are gamers and non-gamers should check him out as the dad in The Intergalactic Adventures of Max Cloud. He's hilarious in it!

Gang, if I were a big shot casting director who watched s2 of Rings of Power (hyperspecific). I would immediately get Sam Hazeldine's agent on the phone to get him to be in Star Wars as a jaded Jedi master who's one step closer to becoming a Sith. Ahhh but there's a twist! The Jedi master becomes attached to a desperate youngling who doesn't have a master of their own because of low self-esteem issues and trauma and as the weeks go by he struggles to let go of this bond he has formed with them. So he takes them as his padawan but aha! Now he's placed the youngling in harm's way while trying to hide the truth of his allegiance a secret from everyone while having second thoughts on the choices he has made. Let the youngling also be clever and sassy rather than just a big bowl of trauma pls. and I know Sam is typecast as dads, but I'm enjoying this idea that it isn't so clean cut.

Someone get him to play Harry Mason in a better version of a Silent Hill movie! He already can do a great American accent too.

Sam Hazeldine playing yet another dad in Netflix's Requiem and doing a very nice Welsh accent as far as I can tell, his voice is so soft here too. As for the series itself a DNA test would've answered the FMC's questions instead of everything dragged into 6-parts. I liked the 70s Hammer horror vibes though.

The simmering performance in this last gif really highlights the subtlety (?) of Sam Hazeldine's Adar. He might only be in one season of RoP but dang he really nailed it. I've seen his work throughout the years beginning with Knightfall and he's always reliable even in small parts. Hopefully, RoP brings in new opportunities for him.

The part when Adar showed Galadriel Morgoth's crown and they talk, I swear they let the camera linger on their faces too long that I thought they were gonna kiss 🤭😅 but I'm not gonna lie Sam and Morfydd really had great chemistry on screen, it's just too bad that it was short-lived.
