My (unrealistic) desires from the Vees in season 2:

1) A consistent tone, for god's sake.

Are the Vees a villainous family consisting of charmingly silly/stupid little guys that humorously bicker with each other?

OR

Are they a trio of ruthless abusers that need to be taken seriously by not only the characters but the audience as well?

( This is also applicable to Alastor. Is he a ruthless abuser or a charmer we’re supposed to swoon for? )

2) an exploration of their motives as individuals

For example, how they came to meet each other and why they felt like combining power was necessary. How did a trio consisting of raging narcissists decide they needed each other? Is there some kind of contract binding them?

3) a discussion surrounding how they perceive each other vs how they perceive the sinners they own

Do the Vees hold a certain level of respect for each other, or are they constantly on the verge of collapsing? If they do care for each other in some sort of twisted sense, what separates them from the sinners they own? What boundaries do they have in place that make their partnership worth maintaining?

4) an explanation of how Velvette and Vox respond to Valentino’s sexual abuse towards his workers

Do they participate in similar activities?

Do they ignore it?

Do they consider it none of their business?

Do they consider sinners under contract lesser than human? Does this excuse any abuse in their eyes?

Would they abuse each other if given the chance?

I have a tendency to latch onto villainous characters in media, simply because they tend to have more depth to their motives than their hero counterparts. I’ve grown to love the Vees, admittedly not because of the show’s writing, but because of my own and others headcanons/assumptions. Will the writers take advantage of the potentially intricate characters they’ve introduced, or drop the ball?
