In the last 5 years I haven't celebrated my birthday with others besides my parents. But today, I was finally able to do so! And boy, I wasn't so happy like that in a long time. In some way, I started to recognise the sheer luck of just being around my friends again. Just that made already my day. And that's when I noticed a few little pieces how much I appreciate them. A few put together their money and gifted me a little candy bag. They said its an homage for bringing one for them and our other peers to our art exams (that lasted 6 hours and no break, so we had to prepare meals before the start) each time to cheer them up. I guess they noticed how much I was depressed recently. Or the time I received a self-made friendship bracelette. I can't recall ever to have one in my 20 years. But I make sure to wear it as often as I can. AND I GOT A OC'S-CROSSING DRAWING!!! Another dear friend drew his and my oc AND I FRIGGING LOVE IT!!! ✨️✨️✨️ I sheer tears of joy owning a real piece of them like they're treasures. And what I was appreciating the most was how my best friend made sure to have my back today. She didn't have to but did it anyway. Helped me cook for our big hungry gang, though everything went wrong in that kitchen. We cooked too many noodles, burnt them, and made even a mess about them. But she made sure, though I was trying to just make everything right (but everything went wrong) she made sure holding my burnt hand under cold water when I wanted to ignore it. Made sure I had fire lit candles on my birthday cake I could blow out. There's that thing about noticing. I always think when I notice enough of my friends, to get to know them, realise them, I could get to have a great friendship with them. I notice my friends as much as I could. But she does that too! Memorise our likes and dislikes, our feelings, taking care of the other and share warm hearted truths. And so we accomplish each other and that's in my opinion greater than romance or other sort of relationship. I am so grateful for her and all my other friends who always make me laugh and love. So my tips: never miss out a birthday with friends and never stop noticing ;>
