𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐡 : when was the last time your muse had to start over, and what did they leave behind?

the last time she had to truly start over was the summer before her freshman year of college . her high school reputation—meticulously crafted —meant nothing the moment she stepped onto her pristine campus . suddenly , no one cared that she was prom queen , no one knew her favorite order , no one feared her name .

what she left behind was her journal .

that summer , after a bitter falling out with her two closest prep school friends , vctoria took the leather-bound journal she’d written in since she was twelve and quietly slid it into the bottom drawer of her desk back home in princeton . she didn’t throw it out , because she never throws anything away , but she did shut the drawer with finality .

that was the moment she chose reinvention over reflection .

victoria is a visiting friend of ashley ( big surprise , but somehow they're friends ) —brought up to the washingtons' lodge for what was supposed to be a good time for victoria and reflecting on the anniversary of the tragic disappearance of the washington twins .

victoria didn't know them well—but she was at the lodge that night a year ago . in fact , she happily joined in participating in the prank . at the time , he played it off as “ harmless fun , " just another moment of drama to laugh about later . when hannah ran off and beth followed , victoria didn’t go after them—she stayed inside .

but when they never came back , the mood shifted—and so did the narrative .

she returned this year . she figures showing up , acting respectful , and keeping her claws sharp is the best way to control the narrative . if something were to happen again—well , who knows .

victoria detests emily , while victoria's rivalry with jessica is alive and well . jess reminds victoria of every loud girl she couldn’t stand in prep school .

the one thing victoria and ashley probably have in common are their love of literature . while ashley's more genuine and uncertain , victoria plays the role of the confident protector—even if she’s mostly watching her own back .

she flirts shamelessly with mike when jessica's around , just to provoke her . she also does the same thing with matt and emily .

victoria is careful around josh . she finds him weird .
