A Homestuck fanventure starring a bunch of strangely familiar Carapacians. Written/photoshopped by tumblr user obviousoctopus. All characters belong to Andrew Hussie. No terriers were harmed in the making of this tale. Maybe. Officially discontinued, as of 7/4/14. Sorry everybody.

Honestly. The questions this girl asks.
Hey folks, really excited to finally announce the launch of our PATREON! We held off for a while so that we could prepare some cool rewards, and because, as you may have heard, things got a little dodgy there with their payment system for a minute. But all of that is back to normal now, and we’ve got some fun stuff to share with you all!
We may add some fancier tiers later on, but right out of the gate, those who pledge $1 can join our private Discord server, $2 gets you early updates (M/W/F), and $5 or more gets all kinds of bonus content - sketches, scripts, side stories, behind-the-scenes, and more! Also, if you’ve got any questions for the cast of Chroma Key, bring ‘em on over to the comments section of this post, and they’ll be answering them soon in illustrated character Q&As, also for $5+ patrons!
To be frank and earnest with you, we’re two broke young people with lots of work and school to worry about, and absolutely anything you can spare is enormously appreciated. Even if you can’t afford to pledge, we are so thankful for your support, in all forms - reblogs, likes, comments, and just the simple fact that you’re reading these words right now. You guys are the best.
That’s all for now. See you Tuesday! (Or Monday! wink)

The next few months of updates will exclusively follow Parker’s 100K-word Transformers slash fic odyssey. As always, thank you for reading.

reminder that I have a new webcomic! I won’t bombard you with cross-promotion but this blog is pretty much just gathering dust at this point and if you enjoyed Pawnstuck I really think you’ll enjoy Chroma Key. it explores similar themes of growing up, swearing profusely, and dealing with extraterrestrial tentacle monsters. we’re still in the early stages of the story but the prologue just finished and some very exciting things are on the horizon. i hope that you read and enjoy, and thank you again for all of your support!
Looks friendly.

this is the big project that i’ve been working on for a while now, almost since Pawnstuck ended, and I think if you like my previous work there’s a good chance you’ll like this too. :)
hey, everyone! after almost three years of hard work and a few false starts, it brings me great joy to announce the launch of my webcomic CHROMA KEY! this story is very near and dear to my heart and I’m so excited to share it with you all. the synopsis is as follows:
When Kim and her friends were young, they used to watch a show called SUPER FIGHTING MIGHTY FIGHTERS. It was kitschy and brightly colored and involved a lot of dubious costume work. After ten long years of growing up and moving on, they should be too old for such things. However, when a mysterious alien creature enters their lives, offering the opportunity to live out their childhood dreams and save the world in the process, the lure of the past may prove difficult to resist.
Written by Brandon Dumas and illustrated by Laura Reyes, CHROMA KEY is a sci-fi coming-of-age story that updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We hope you enjoy!
thanks so much to everyone who provided feedback and support throughout this rollercoaster of a creative process, and the biggest thank you of all to the incredible bioatomic, the most amazing illustrator anyone could ask for! anyway, the first four pages are up on chromakeycomic.com now, with many more to come! thank you for reading!

I commissioned art of the main characters of my upcoming webcomic project, Chroma Key, from the wonderful bioatomic (who is still doing commissions, if you’re interested!). they all look exactly how I pictured them, and I can’t be more grateful for the time and effort she put into her work. I also can’t wait for you guys to meet these kids in context, as I’ve been working on this story for quite some time and I really think any friends and other folks who have enjoyed my work over the years will like this even more. so stay tuned!

hi! i was a huge fan of pawnstuck back in the day, still am tbh, and i wanted to thank you for everything you did. it may have ended, but it was and is important to me and im grateful you brought it into the world
hey, wow, thanks so much. this is really flattering and nice. it meant a lot to me too, and I wish I could have seen it through to the end. i had a lot of stuff planned for it, to the point that I probably wouldn’t even be able to remember it all if asked, but some things are just not meant to be, unfortunately.
if you’re still at all interested in following my work, I’m planning on starting a webcomic soon, hopefully sometime in the next few months (if I actually manage to find an artist). it’ll be called Chroma Key, and it’ll explore similar themes of growing up, swearing profusely, and dealing with extradimensional tentacle monsters. you can see some concept art that I commissioned from two talented folks here and here.
anyway. thanks again for sending me this. :) always gratifying to hear that my work made a difference to somebody. I hope you’re doing well.

I like Pawnstuck. Unfortunately, it’s discontinued, but when did it ever stopped me from reading stuff. It’s not usually this dark (it’s rather funny actually), but i just like weird shit.

I also have a couple of my own AUs, and stabdads, and there was a post about MC having their relationship advise radio show on Alternia, and a couple of days ago I read SSDD Tick Tock by Ecanus and it is amazing, but it deserves at least one illustration for each chapter (maybe I’ll manage? I don’t know).
