Covid-19 pandemic
Since President Rodrigo Roa Duterte placed the entire Luzon on lockdown or Enhance Community Quarantine to contain the explosion of CoViD-19 cases in the country. This means no people are not allowed to leave their homes unless for essential reasons or if you have a quarantine pass you are allow to get out of the house.
So that Meycauayan City Mayor Linabelle Villarica assigned every barangays to distribute one quarantine pass per family. It is divided into two when your Quarantine pass no. ends at even no. you can go out on teusday, Thursday and Saturday but if this is ends in odd no. you can go out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, every Sunday no one is allowed outside the house because it is a day for sanitizing some establishments and roads in the city.
As of april 28, 2020 City of meycauayan confirmed the first recovered patient in the city, the total positive is 9, probable is 10, and 32 is suspected.
The LGU start repacking and distribution of relief bags for every baranggays in Meycauayan it is to meet the needs of the people. Each of the 26 baranggays of meycauayan received 10 trays of tamato, and 10 trays of eggplant from Mayor Linabelle Villarica in partnership with the DA Food Security Program “Seed of hope”. Be proactive during lockdown. Stay home stay safe.
To prevent spreading of covid-19 Mayor Linabelle Villarica conducted a meeting with the health physicians, BFP, CDRRMO and PNP to ensure that contact tracing can be carried out properly and to ensure quarantine people stay in quarantine and that exposed to a positive carrier patient. The Contact Tracing Team (CTT) appeared to be more aggressive in its focus on CONTACT TRACING, TESTING and ISOLATION to pursue time against the spread of deadly disease.
