still amazes me that by season 45 or whatever, Supernatural was being exclusively watched by delusionally hopeful women with flamingo-salinity tolerance for bad writing and the creators still couldn’t pander to them because maybe there was 1 straight guy out there still accidentally watching it

the gameplay consists of using context along with dialog and some in-world text to understand the (entirely written) languages created for the game and using your understanding to progress in the world. the languages are all made up of a small-ish number (around 50 iirc) of glyphs that you need to find the meaning of. there is some variation in grammar between languages, but not so much that the game is inaccessible to a monolingual english-speaking audience. the languages are generally* introduced in order from easiest to hardest, with the next language appearing around the time you're finishing your current one
there is a system where you can match a glyph to its presumed meaning (represented by a picture) that let you "confirm" the meanings of a set of glyphs. this system is mostly* optional, and you may have a more interesting time skipping it if you have more language experience than most because it overwrites your inputted meaning for the "correct" one
*the final language is learned differently from the others, mostly using devices that match and auto-confirm glyphs based on glyphs from previous languages. because of this, i found it by far the easiest language. it had some potential with it's unique feature, but the feature wasn't important for more than a couple glyphs
Have you had a chance to play Chants of Senaar?
Do not feel in anyway obligated to play it if you don’t want to, it just seemed up you’re alley based on your “games about learning languages” video
I have still yet to see someone recommending it in my inbox mention a second fact about it

sick and tired of seeing these ace trainers brag about their super smart badass level 100 shiny mons.
This is Sol. She is a fucking idiot. She regularly forgets that she is a flying type and sits at the bottom of cabinets n such crying cause she doesn't know how to get up. I would die for her.

“average person eats 3 spiders a year” factoid actualy just statistical error. average person eats 0 spiders per year. Spiders Georg, who lives in cave & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
