I was doing some back office marketing this afternoon and came across this campaign #musicmindsmatter. I'm absolutely overjoyed, but even more motivated to make sure we as a community, get something like going in the US. @warnermusic I'd like your support to spearhead this campaign with the help of some local artist supporters. For those of you who don't know my passion, let me take a moment to tell you a little bit about what I do. I provide encouragement and support for entertainment industry artists in both film and music. I am a mental health advocate and registered behavioral technician. I study psychology and neuro linguistic programming, currently working towards my MA in mental health counseling and substance abuse. I spent most of my late teenage years and early 20s in the entertainment/music industry. I fell in love with the passion and artistic ability of musicians, writers and actors. Though I can't sing a lick myself or act for dung, I want to support these individuals in a way no one else can. As thier supporter and friend, I can just be an ear to listen or I can provide them with the tools they need to build an objective and strategic approach to solving thier problems and, enhancing thier personal growth. I understand very well the challenges today's entertainment artists face. From file-sharing lawsuits, internet copyrights, underfunded tours, to low ratings, public humiliation, low self-esteem and pure physical exhaustion. (Just to name a few) I have no personal or financial interest in my clients professignal success, but what I do have is a perpetual desire to support their mental health, providing them with the confidence and security to peruse their dreams and goals.
