Shizun turned to face Luo Binghe. In the dim darkness only illuminated by the faint glow of the lichen carpeting the walls, his dark eyes pierced through Luo Binghe's lowly self like a starless night illuminated by a full moon. Binghe's breath faltered, truly feeling a little beast of a monster frozen in awe before a cultivator's overwhelming power.

Shizun's lips parted. Luo Binghe, light headed and dazed, didn't dare flinch when Shen Qingqiu's hand drew closer.

Long, elegant fingers wrapped around his wrist, a blanket of gentle warmth pressing on his pulse point. Shizun's eyes lowered, their abyss-like attention flowing to his hands, and his head tilted a degree lower.

The feeling of Shizun's warm qi flowing into his meridians stole Binghe's breath away.

I hate when I say things like "oh I want an ipod classic but with bluetooth so I can use wireless headphones" and some peanut comes in and replies with "so a smartphone with spotify?" No. I want a 160GB+ rectangular monstrosity where I can download every version of every song I want to it and it does nothing except play music and I don't need a data connection and don't have to pay a subscription to not have ads and don't have popups suggesting terrible AI playlists all over the menus.

Gimme the clicky wheel and song titles like "My Chemical Romance- The Black Parade- Blood (Bonus Track)- secret track- album rip- high quality"

would be fun if for once characters in a scifi story landed on a planet and it was like desert or whatever and theyre like ooh... a desert world.... and the people who live there are like what? no? this is just a desert. planets are very big. they have multiple biomes

i love love love when people reach as far as they possibly can to apply a post to a character it absolutely does not fit. "aragorn in an au where he drives a car and has astigmatism" girl i don't think it is

discourse about redemption arcs would vastly improve if instead of always asking “is this character redeemable?” people started asking “what message would it send to redeem this character?” and “would it be logical or satisfying on a narrative level to redeem this character?”

In House of Leaves, Navidson spends huge chunks of the book stuck in his home, while in Homestuck, John leaves the house almost immediately. Really makes you think.
